  • Heaven on Earth!

"The best place to be on Block Island is right here. This was our second stay and I cry every time I have to leave. The house is perfect and has everything you need. You will feel relaxed and calm the moment you open those doors and breath in that ocean air. The location cannot be beat because you can walk everywhere. Our favorite place to watch the sunset is The Oar, make sure you go and try the fried chicken and mudslides. There are so many places on the island to explore and you will never feel rushed because that is the way there. We would spend our days on Mansion Beach with our dogs and go for long walks all through the day. The owner is the greatest and is so gracious to share her beautiful home with all of us. I cannot wait to return next year."

  • This is a wonderful house & I recommend it!!

"This house is very nice and the owners to a great job of keeping in nice and clean and beautiful. It is on a nice quite street and a nice deck in the back and place to sit out and enjoy the sun. The owners are also very friendly and accommodating. No complaints and would recommend it!"

  • A Perfect Spring Escape

"We chose this house for a small family reunion and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. The accommodations are clean, comfortable, complete and well laid-out. The moment we arrived, we felt 'at home.' Even better, the location is outstanding - a short (3 minute?) walk to Mansion Beach (best on the island), seclusion from nearby houses (while not isolated), and just a short hop from town make this house a real find. We also arrived unexpectedly during the height of spring migration. Sitting on the porch with so many trees around the house, it was like an aviary. One morning over coffee we identified more than 25 species! My family has rented houses on Block Island many times over the past 40 years and we all agreed that the combination of the wonderful house and great location made this our best stay yet. And I would hasten to add, that the owner's helpful responsiveness to all questions both in advance of the visit and during our stay was the icing on the cake. We will absolutely be back again. Thank you for making your wonderful home available!"

  • Beautiful cottage near the beach

"Loved the house! Good location, about a block from the beach. Scenic views of the salt pond from the back deck. Everything in the house was great- excellent open kitchen with all high end appliances, big bedrooms that can easily sleep 10, 2 very nice indoor full bathrooms plus an outside shower. Comfortable couch and nice flat screen tv. A great sunroom with beautiful views. A new outdoor gas grill. Bikes and beach toys were great. All of the cooking equipment you would need- just buy your own food. Washer/dryer. Ceiling fans keep the house cool- no AC, but we didn't need it with the cool ocean breeze- it actually got a little chilly at night. The area is perfect for families- plenty of good seafood restaurants, ice cream shops. An old amusement park with water slides, mini-golf, go-carts, etc. about 1 mile down the beach. We road the bikes around the amazing neighborhoods- huge million dollar summer homes. The owner is great- any questions we had, he replied immediately. He had lots of tips for the area. They also supplied bedding and towels- just bring your own beach towels. Only 20 minutes to Watch Hill, 30 minutes to Narragansett, 40 minutes to Newport and 1 hour to Providence. Other activities include boating, fishing, surfing, kayaking."
