  • Warm & Welcoming!!!

"Such a wonderful location! Close to the Beach Access, Restaurants, and Groceries without being overly busy. The house was clean and comfortable! We greatly enjoyed the Ping Pong, Pool Table, and Jacuzzi! We spent time relaxing in front of the big screen TV and listening to the waves! The house was MUCH bigger than it seemed from the photos and everything is very well thought out! Scott and Anne were so good to us, very accommodating, warm and friendly! Such wonderful hospitality! I enjoyed my birthday vacation at Beachball and would love to stay again, only longer!!"

  • Spring Break 2015

"Our family of 5 (37yr old adults and kids 19, 14, 11) LOVED this property!!! Secluded, but within 10 min (driving) to bi-lo grocery, a 3-5 min walk to the beach and the drive into Edisto on 174 was magnificent lined with weeping moss trees. The house was clean, well appointed, very spacious, and the deck spaces were just AMAZING!!! All of our tech loving kids were happy with the wifi, but enjoyed the surrounding nature more! The beach was so private and shells so plentiful, a shell lovers dream. We picked strawberries and enjoyed some of the best pie and corn casserole ever at Kings Market. We didn't eat on the island, although there were plenty of choices, we found some excellent resturants 30-45 min away (Stono Tomato Shed and Old Firehouse, recommend both highly) And cooked a few delicious meals at "home" in an expertly stocked kitchen. We also took day trips to Charleston (very easy drive, less than an hour) and Savannah, GA. Our trip was made great by staying at Natures Retreat, and we would recommend this property highly! Thanks for opening your special home!"

  • Wonderful Southern Getaway

"We spent about a week in this wonderfully, warm home at the end of September with two of our adult children. We had such a wonderful time. It was close enough to all we wanted to see and far enough out to relax and enjoy some nature. We kayaked every day out to the ocean and even caught a couple of crabs with the crab pot. I would highly recommend this wonderful home to anyone. Would love to make it a yearly retreat."

  • Peaceful, private get-away.

"Great off season location. My wife and I chose this for a spring break from the long, cold, northeast winter. It was very private and quiet in March and we really got some time to relax. The island was fun to explore and location just 50 minutes from Charleston. The house was set up with everything you need to feel right at home and we were able to use their canoe to explore the back tidal river. Lot's of fun!"
