  • Truly a beach bum's paradise

"What a beautiful home! My only complaint is that our trip was too short. We traveled with 5 adults and 3 children and there was room to spare. The separate bedroom was ideal for our trip as it allowed me to escape the chaos of the families with children. Yes, it was a little "musty," but what "basement" room isn't? Quick, easy walk to the beach. All basic necessaries for cooking. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. This home is also in walking distance to a bar and grill. Things to consider Linens are not included. We ended up spending ~250 on linen rental because our travel arrangements would not allow for bringing our own. Admittedly I requested WAY too many towels for our short trip. Because linens are rentals, you do have to dress and undress your beds which creates a little extra work with a 10am checkout time. Overall a great rental experience. We will be booking again soon!"

  • Amazing value RIGHT on the beach!

"True beachfront houses are hard to come by at a fair price, and High Tide is the exception to the rule. Such a well done, cozy, spacious and convenient home to stay with the most amazing view. Looking out the back porch it is as-if you are on your own private yacht! Pros included the shaded spot under the deck, easy access to everything, ice cold A/C, privacy privacy privacy, tons of appliances & tools in the kitchen. Cons were the cleanliness of the kitchenwares, salty water out of the faucet (not expecting that), and travel time to Charleston (Edisto is out there and untouched). We would definitely come back!"

  • Edisto Intact

"I would like to preface this review by stating that my family grew up making annual trips from Northern Ohio to Edisto Island, SC. We have stayed at the State Park, Beachfront Housing and everything in between. Took a six year hiatus and after deciding to return hesitantly settled on Pyramid Pointe as our home base. While some of the changes to the island were disturbing/disappointing - Golf Carts EVERYWHERE, no Bell Buoy Seafood, Piggly Wiggly now called Bi-Lo! - Pyramid Pointe brought us back to the Edisto we knew and loved. As the owner states, be it in a more kind southern way, this is NOT a house for Yuppies (never fear Yuppies... a portion of Edisto Island now seems ready for you). Our Edisto reunion include a new generation (two children under two) and the Pyramid Pointe location provided endless entertainment for all ages. Rent the boats (all of them), bring your bikes (a very nice ride through a soon to be developed area ending where Scott Creek hits the ocean) and leave your golf cart at home! For anyone asking "Where's the Beach?"... it is about a quarter mile in front of Pyramid Pointe!"

  • Great House for Boaters

"We are water people and this house was great for us. It is very comfortable and feels like home. The outside kitchen allows you to do such things as low country boil and keep the mess out of the house. We were very satisfied."
