  • Beachy and fun!

"Those are the words that come into mind when I think back (longingly!) on our vacation at The Original Seacloud. This was just easy from start to finish. Richard and Mary apparently work 24 hours a day because every time we emailed them they emailed us back right away; mostly late at night! Everyone else we emailed didn't reply until the next day. And the house...well it was wonderful. We went on the beach every day and let the kids just play! We brought them back and bathed them in the outdoor enclosed hot and cold shower and now they think we need one at home but we tell them that is only to be had at The Original Seacloud. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms; (they are all too cute!) but we stayed in that one because I just loved the saying they had engraved on the wall above the bed. I keep wishing I had written it down; can you please tell me what it was? It was along the lines of "Dance like no one is watching". We'll be back; I hope you're open when we can come back!"

  • Great Winter Vacation!

"This was our first visit to Edisto and it won't be our last! We loved that this rental is directly on the bike/walking path. The convenience to the beach is also wonderful. The house is large and has everything to make your vacation relaxing. The upstairs is amazing! The kids loved climbing the Live Oak in the backyard. The screen porch had all new furniture and we spent every evening relaxing out there after dinner. We can't wait to return in the summer to get the most out of this beautiful island retreat!"

  • Best Place in SC to ZEN Out

"Berry'd Treasure is the perfect place to relax, get away from it all, and taking it "Edist-Slow". Our family has spent a number of vacations and Thanksgiving holidays there over the years and we look forward to the long walks on the private beach, taking a boat out through the marshes and tidal inlets, kayaking the creeks, and in general just relaxing and taking a break from the rest of our fast paced existance. One of the best places in the state to find great shells AND fossils along Eddingsville Beach!"

  • Edisto Intact

"I would like to preface this review by stating that my family grew up making annual trips from Northern Ohio to Edisto Island, SC. We have stayed at the State Park, Beachfront Housing and everything in between. Took a six year hiatus and after deciding to return hesitantly settled on Pyramid Pointe as our home base. While some of the changes to the island were disturbing/disappointing - Golf Carts EVERYWHERE, no Bell Buoy Seafood, Piggly Wiggly now called Bi-Lo! - Pyramid Pointe brought us back to the Edisto we knew and loved. As the owner states, be it in a more kind southern way, this is NOT a house for Yuppies (never fear Yuppies... a portion of Edisto Island now seems ready for you). Our Edisto reunion include a new generation (two children under two) and the Pyramid Pointe location provided endless entertainment for all ages. Rent the boats (all of them), bring your bikes (a very nice ride through a soon to be developed area ending where Scott Creek hits the ocean) and leave your golf cart at home! For anyone asking "Where's the Beach?"... it is about a quarter mile in front of Pyramid Pointe!"
