  • Family vacation

"Our family was blessed to spend a week at this amazing house! So many porches...so little time! View the amazing sunrise each morning from one spectacular porch overlooking the lagoon and seashore, relax on another porch in the hammock with a lovely view of the lagoon and all kinds of amazing birds, grill out on another porch and enjoy dinner while watching the sunset! Then, sit out on yet Another porch after dinner with the entire family and enjoy the evening breeze, moon and stars! Heavenly! Not to forget a small porch with an old fashioned wooden swing, my son-in-law used for his office each day. Poor guy had to work, but loved this venue! We would return to 18 Planters Retreat in a Heartbeat!!"

  • Edisto Intact

"I would like to preface this review by stating that my family grew up making annual trips from Northern Ohio to Edisto Island, SC. We have stayed at the State Park, Beachfront Housing and everything in between. Took a six year hiatus and after deciding to return hesitantly settled on Pyramid Pointe as our home base. While some of the changes to the island were disturbing/disappointing - Golf Carts EVERYWHERE, no Bell Buoy Seafood, Piggly Wiggly now called Bi-Lo! - Pyramid Pointe brought us back to the Edisto we knew and loved. As the owner states, be it in a more kind southern way, this is NOT a house for Yuppies (never fear Yuppies... a portion of Edisto Island now seems ready for you). Our Edisto reunion include a new generation (two children under two) and the Pyramid Pointe location provided endless entertainment for all ages. Rent the boats (all of them), bring your bikes (a very nice ride through a soon to be developed area ending where Scott Creek hits the ocean) and leave your golf cart at home! For anyone asking "Where's the Beach?"... it is about a quarter mile in front of Pyramid Pointe!"

  • Truly a beach bum's paradise

"What a beautiful home! My only complaint is that our trip was too short. We traveled with 5 adults and 3 children and there was room to spare. The separate bedroom was ideal for our trip as it allowed me to escape the chaos of the families with children. Yes, it was a little "musty," but what "basement" room isn't? Quick, easy walk to the beach. All basic necessaries for cooking. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. This home is also in walking distance to a bar and grill. Things to consider Linens are not included. We ended up spending ~250 on linen rental because our travel arrangements would not allow for bringing our own. Admittedly I requested WAY too many towels for our short trip. Because linens are rentals, you do have to dress and undress your beds which creates a little extra work with a 10am checkout time. Overall a great rental experience. We will be booking again soon!"

  • Breathtaking view

"Rating Details: I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was nice although some of the furnishings had seen better days. The kitchen was well stocked and we were surprised with a little starter kit from Atwood Realty! The only real negative was the smell of the water. It smelled of sulfur. There were also a lot of nats in the kitchen possibly due to the garbage disposal. The most positive note was the view. We loved watching the changing waters and had a great time kayaking! Manager responded on 8/12/2014: James, We have just received your review. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are so pleased that your group enjoyed the views and outdoor recreation offered at Good Tides Roll on Edisto. We will share you suggestions with the home owner for off season updates and improvements and we value your feedback. We would love to be your host on Edisto anytime! Regards, Atwood Vacations Team"
