Recent Edisto Beach reviews
"I would like to preface this review by stating that my family grew up making annual trips from Northern Ohio to Edisto Island, SC. We have stayed at the State Park, Beachfront Housing and everything in between. Took a six year hiatus and after deciding to return hesitantly settled on Pyramid Pointe as our home base. While some of the changes to the island were disturbing/disappointing - Golf Carts EVERYWHERE, no Bell Buoy Seafood, Piggly Wiggly now called Bi-Lo! - Pyramid Pointe brought us back to the Edisto we knew and loved. As the owner states, be it in a more kind southern way, this is NOT a house for Yuppies (never fear Yuppies... a portion of Edisto Island now seems ready for you). Our Edisto reunion include a new generation (two children under two) and the Pyramid Pointe location provided endless entertainment for all ages. Rent the boats (all of them), bring your bikes (a very nice ride through a soon to be developed area ending where Scott Creek hits the ocean) and leave your golf cart at home!
For anyone asking "Where's the Beach?"... it is about a quarter mile in front of Pyramid Pointe!"

"Our recent stay at The Bay was absolutely perfect. Every few years we escape to Edisto, and we have never stayed at a nicer place. The home is well maintained, spacious, and full of natural light that can be controlled with curtains. The marsh view from the front, with the rising and lowering of the tides, is breathtaking at any point of the day. The beach itself is generally pretty quiet and not very populated with people at any point in the day, all of which keeps it quite beautiful.
It was nice to have the pool as well. It became a late-in-the-day gathering place for our family. Seeing the basketball hoop in the photo made my nephew bring his basketball, and he was so happy to be able to shoot some hoops during our stay. Though we didn't use the doc, my husband and I had a date on the swing one evening, the day of our anniversary. We had yet another lovely view of marsh. Oh, and the front decks on both levels are lovely in the morning... a nice way to wake up to the day with cup of coffee.
I loved how the home didn't have a TV in every room. We watched on the living room TV if there was something we wanted to see. We really, we had access to whatever we wanted to see streamed. Appreciated the wifi because it allowed us to check email, but other than that, we really unplugged."

"I give this property a 5 star rating even with a few very minor maintenance issues. (kitchen sink faucet needs new O-rings, 2nd floor hall bath needs adjustment to the drain stopper, deadbolt in the door at the top of stairs is hard to engage and door will not stay shut without using the deadbolt) Very minor issues that were easily overcome.
The home is well appointed with comfortable furnishings, a huge array of kitchen appliances and accessories ( very nice and HUGE selection of pots and pans, dinnerware, plates, bowls, storage ware, etc.), comfortable beds and more than adequate off street parking. There were 5 adults with 2 small children in our party. The weather was not exactly conducive for dinning on the screened in porch off the living and dining room, but we all had a blast spending time there outside of meal time as a relaxing area for adults and a play area for the kids.
The dining table will seat 8 comfortably with an additional seating for four at the adjoining bar. We appreciated the fact of the dining table being at bar height as we could communicate with the cook without being in the way.
The WiFi worked just fine, no comment on TV service as we did not turn it on even once.
All in all a grand place to stay and we will consider returning at a future date."
