  • Folly Life

"For seven days we've truly embraced the Key West Style Cottage. The photos are a true description of the property, Jan has put her spin on the decor and was a great pleasure to work with. The cottage is a great place to relax indoor or outdoor. While riding through town on beach cruisers, every day we went to the beach, pier, Center Street, and Bert's. When it was time to eat and having the option to dine in we've solicited more than a few shops between Folly Beach and James Island. We are looking forward to our next visit."

  • Do yourself a favor and stay here.

"My husband and I live in the Charleston area and rented this lovely home on a last minute whim for our anniversary. The owner Nancy could not have been nicer! The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. The location is amazing - 2 blocks from the beach, 2 - 3 blocks from the all of the restaurants and bars, and right around the corner from Bert's market. It's so close to everything, but the street is quite and feels "off the beaten path." The house was super comfortable and clean. It exceeded our expectations! Bring your bikes or you can rent some just a couple blocks away. We loved our stay and can't wait to go back! Thanks so much, Nancy!"

  • Perfect Beach Cottage

"This 4 bedroom 2 bath and huge kitchen was perfect. We loved the screened in porch for eating our breakfast and dinner. (bring a table cloth if you plan to eat outside) The house was immaculate and fully furnished with extra touches. I cook and I did not need for anything in the kitchen. This was the cleanest rental I have ever stayed at. The private beach is a big bonus! We usually stay at Isle of Palm and tried to get a sense of the 2 different beaches…. Folly beach is for water lovers, tons of toys in the water…. And lots of surfers where Isle of Palm is more touristy as far as the beach. If you plan on eating out you will have to drive to all restaurants, there is nothing local but it is not far. There is a grill available at the cottage for grilling. I highly recommend this cottage, it is perfect."

  • Awesome beach house! Great Thanksgiving vacay!

"My hubby and I took my parents to Charleston for the first time over the Thanksgiving weekend. We are all busy, adventurous travelers. Our usual trips either involve big city sight-seeing or outdoor hiking. None of us had ever had a few days stay on the beach and do "nothing". We were very excited and anxious about this trip. We had booked the rental 3 months in advance. A week prior to our arrival we found out our dates were not available any more due to the owner's family arrangement. It was very stressful for a couple days as I was scrambling around trying to find last minute holiday hotel accommodation. In the end, Elizabeth worked it out with us. We only had to find hotel for 1 night and were able to stay at the house for 2 nights. She aslo gave us a big discount off of our initial agreement. The house looks exactly like that in the pictures. We had a great time. To my surprise, we stayed on the beach for 2 straight days and did absolutely "nothing" and I was very very happy. What I liked the best was the hammock on the deck. Even though it was in the 40's F after sunset, I was able to cuddle with my hubby under the stars and listen to the sound of the ocean. It was absolutely amazing. It's right next to the ocean. The sound of waves go through the walls, doors and windows! I love everything about that little house. One thing I didn't expect was that there's no actual doors to the two bedrooms, but more like dividers. Not too much privacy if you're a light sleeper. It didn't bother us much as we happened to bright a sound machine and slept fine. The beach is beautiful and quite at that time of the year. Lots seashells to pick. We found a few sand dollars too. We went to downtown Charleston for a day, which is less than 30 mins drive over the bridge. Overall, if we ever head back to Charleston, we'll definitely try to stay at this beach house again."
