"I traveled to Folly Beach with my 14 & 11 year old sons for their spring break, and this cottage was excellent. The owner's fun, whimsical artwork adorns the walls, and the home was immaculate, comfortable and so relaxing. Three days was far too short of a stay, but we were forced to depart for the Savannah 2nd leg of our excursion. I made the mistake of thinking my boys would better enjoy a week split between Charleston & Savannah, and it turned out that they did not want to leave either. We'll be back, hopefully soon, and I look forward to building on our great memories on East Hudson Street."

Nice place (once the construction next door is complete)
"The house is nice and just a short walk to the beach. The accommodations were almost perfect, but the master bedroom mattress was hard as a rock and left my wife and I both sore each morning. The screened-in porch on the back has a great view and the hammock was the perfect place to relax in the morning and afternoon. Unfortunately for us, we were only able to enjoy it for one day before the workers next door started their air compressor, power saws and hammering along with their music blaring from the radio from 8am until 7pm each day. It's really a shame, because the porch and view were two of the main reasons we chose this rental.
It appears that the bulk of the construction is complete, so hopefully not too many other guests have to endure this nuisance."

Great Vacation Rental! Serene, secure, and convenient to Folly Beach and Charleston.
"My husband and I stayed three nights in this lovely condo while visiting the Charleston/Folly Beach area. It exceeded our expectations. Mariners Cay is beautiful and well-maintained, with friendly residents. The view from the condo was exceptional from both the upstairs and downstairs balconies. We visited over the Memorial Day holiday weekend when the nearby beach was extremely crowded. It was nice being able to get away from the crowd into a secure, quiet, gated community. We saw dolphins within the first hour of our arrival! Marie was pleasant and responsive. Everything about our trip (except when the Ravenel bridge in Charleston was closed, but that's another story) was wonderful. I highly recommend this condo!"

"The cottage is adorable - we felt very at home and loved all the well coordinated green and blue touches throughout. The beds were very comfortable and I especially adored the "squishy" bed pillows - like sleeping on a cloud :-) It's fantastic that the home is so dog friendly as well - next time we travel with the pooch for sure! (And it's only a block or two from the Lost Dog!) Little extras like beach towels and boogie boards (along with a cart for rolling them to the beach) were wonderful - it's already a tight squeeze to fit clothes, etc into the trunk so this was a great space saver for us. It was an extremely warm week when we were there, but the air conditioner did an excellent job, helped along by ceiling fans in all the rooms. Thanks to the shady screened back porch and the fan out there, we were able to enjoy some quality "porch time" as well. We appreciated having Jacqueline stop by in person to ensure that we had everything we needed and to welcome us back to Folly. As mentioned in other reviews, it really is a super quick trip to Charleston where we always enjoy roaming the streets and market - if any future visitors are runners, we HIGHLY recommend running the Ravenel Bridge! My husband and I came into town twice just for that - wish our community had thought to build an extra lane for this purpose on our bridges! (Park on the Mount Pleasant side at the Circle K - they have spaces specifically for your use) - Thanks for a great stay and we look forward to our next visit!"
