Recent Charleston Area reviews

"The house was beautiful and just like the description said. The house was very clean and definitely well maintained. It was comfortable and had plenty of sleeping space for my family of eight. We had two grandkids with us - 8 and 12 - who had a ball flying kites across the road in an available area. We were attending a wedding at Boone Hall Plantation and were only about 5 - 6 miles from there. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone looking for a nice comfortable place to stay."

  • The title says it all

"This was my family's third visit to the Charleston area and the second time we have stayed at Folly Beach. This is by far the best location that we have stayed in. First the location is great. You get beautiful views of the marsh from the Folly River plus its only 375 steps (for me to the beach). The house is very spacious and there was plenty of room for our group. However we could have brought more and had enough room. We enjoyed spending time out on the large deck. Great view of the Morris Island light house. I brought some binoculars and could see the large container ships leaving Charleston harbor throughout the day. We will definitely be looking forward to our next visit and booking this place again if it is available."

  • Third time visitor

"This was our third visit to this beautiful house! Great for multiple families! We love the shady, quiet location just one block from the beach and within walking/biking distance of the local park and grocery store. The house is just as beautiful in person as the photos on the website. We have 4 families that stay together and the house is roomy and comfortable with LOTS of sleeping space. Two couples take the two upstairs bedrooms (these bedrooms have extra beds in them which could be helpful for families with young children), our girls occupy the upstairs "bunk bed room" which is small but private and very sweet! The teenage boys sleep in the bunkbeds in the upstairs tv room. There is not as much privacy in this room, but our boys LOVE it because the beds are super comfortable and the room has a large sectional sofa and a Very large screen tv! Another couple sleeps in the master bedroom downstairs, and my mom sleeps in the quaint bedroom (with the two twin beds) near the kitchen. This bedroom could also be convenient for a nanny or babysitter. Having the laundry chute from the upstairs bathroom to the master bathroom laundry room is convenient. Since access to laundry is through the master bedroom, we make sure whoever sleeps in the master suite is not a big "napper" so that others in the house have access to the laundry room throughout the day. Having two family rooms/dens is very convenient, as the teenagers can hook up their gaming system to the upstairs television while others may watch a movie or sports on the downstairs television. But even with two televisions going, there are still places in the house to sit and read and relax and two big tables for playing cards or board games. I particularly enjoy reading on the loveseat (off of the kitchen dining area) and in the rocking chairs on the back screen porch. We had gracious room for eating all together at the large dining table but also enjoy the spacious eating area in the kitchen as well. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, flatware, and cookware and has just about anything you need for meal prep. The house internet works great. We brought a laptop with us and left it at the kitchen desk (in the common area) for all in the house to use during the week. There are plenty of places to ride bikes and run within the neighborhood and around the island. There are also tennis courts and basketball courts at the public park just a couple of blocks away, which we enjoy. Super place ~we will be back!"

  • Perfect Accomodations

"I am starting a new job in Charleston and it was necessary for my family to relocate before me so we needed to find temporary lodging which was comfortable for my wife and children. The Villa was that place! It was close to the kids schools, to shops, and the downtown area. Great location and the accomodations were perfect for the family. It made the transition for my family much easier. Thanks for the hospitality and awesome place to stay."
