  • Excellent Summer Vacation

"My wife and I (and our 4 kids) just stayed here last week and had an amazing experience. The house is incredible. Although it is on an island, it has all the amenities that you would get any where else. The views are incredible. Having access to the boat added so much to our stay. To be able to visit the marina for things and to go to shore to do some exploring was so valuable. Just walking out to the dock to get on the boat is an experience like none other. The views, the wildlife, the sunsets, the dolphins....words can't describe it. On a side note, Joe is an amazing guy. We actually had a small battery issue with the boat (no doubt, something our kids left on) and within 30 minutes, he was there with another boat. He is genuinely one of the nicest guys we have ever met and he made sure that our stay was perfect. We will be back. Thanks Joe!"

  • Excellent

"There are beautiful views from the large front porch of the intrcoastal waterway. There is great fishing and swimming off the dock. The house is perfect for entertaining with a large kitchen to cook big family meals. The island has a dirt road that runs along the backside that is perfect for exploring and seeing the water views and sunset from the back side of the island. All the locals are friendly and helpful. It is a perfect getaway for Anyone."

  • One of a kind!!

"We had a great stay on Goat Island and will definitely be back! We put our boat in at Lake Moultrie, went through the locks, down the Cooper to Charleston. We needed a place that had a deepwater dock since we only had a boat available for weekend transportation. This is the second time we have stayed on Goat Island and this house was immensly better than the previous one. The screened porch is excellent and everything is open and airy. The dock was also great. If staying here, be sure you take a stroll around the island on the footpath - definitely worth it! We were able to take a 5 minute boat ride to the IOP Marina for all of our food needs and had plenty of restaurant options close by, including Morgan Creek Grill and The Boathouse at Breach Inlet. Our only complaint was that the dock is not included in the no wake zone, be sure to bring large fendors to protect your boat while it's docked. We did lose a fendor and wound up with a nice size dent. Obviously not the owners fault, however. We will definitely be back."

  • Wonderful Home and Perfect Location!

"This house is fully equiped with everything you need to have a relaxing time on goat island and is as pictured very spacious and clean. I live near by in Charleston, but wanted a get away on the water and this was perfect. We brought our own boats and docked them at the dock, but only left to pick up and drop of friends at the conveniently located IOP Marina! I would recommend this home to anyone wanting to stay somewhere peaceful and quiet and on the water. The home is secluded from the neighbors by numerous trees and you have your own private dock with plenty of room to enjoy. We rented the home with two other couples and were able to have friends visit during the day which was an ideal situation!"
