  • Family time in Charleston

"We loved this condo! We were here with our son, daughter-in-law and two small grandchildren to visit our second son who lives in the area. The kitchen was great and fully stocked with everything we needed. Two master suites was great. Proximity to the beach was great. The furnishings were comfortable. Loved having a fan on the patio. We used the beach wagon and beach toys everyday. The surroundings were quiet and relaxing. The only suggestion I would make to the owners is that the bed pillows could be better and more of them. The only bad experience we had was in the parking lot. Parking is very tight and we came out one morning to find that someone had side-swiped our brand new truck. It could not have been unnoticed, yet the person did not have the courtesy to notify us. We were here after prime season, so I would be concerned about parking availability during the height of the season. Still, we would definitely recommend this condo, and would stay again if the opportunity arises."

  • Nicely appointed, very comfortable oceanfront condo right on the beach

"We have stayed in several condos on Wild Dunes and have had mixed experiences. My family loved this condo for lots of reasons. It is very warm and welcoming and it is furnished nicely and well kept. We like to cook-in a lot because we spend every spare minute on the beach and often don't want to use our time going out to eat, and it has a nice big kitchen with lots of cooking utensils/pots/pans/dishes. The couch and chairs in the living room were very comfortable---not always the case with other condos. There is a TV in every bedroom plus the living room and clear directions for using the TVs and locating channels. This isn't always the case in other condos and can be a hassle. The bathrooms for each bedroom is a big plus. The owners were very customer service oriented and answered our questions promptly and completely. If we have a chance, we will definitely stay here again. Oh - one more thing. The pool has its own bathrooms. This is a very big plus and wasn't the case at other condos on Wild Dunes we stayed at. We would have to go back to our condo if we were at the beach or pool."

  • Great location!

"This condo was the perfect size for our family of 5. We were right off the beach, just as we wanted. The condo was very clean when we arrived, although the bathrooms seem a bit dated, therefore don't feel quite as clean. The space worked wonderfully, and the washer and dryer were a huge plus! It really felt like home and offered everything we needed for our week stay - nice, bright and sunny! My only real issue was the front door situation. There is no deadbolt and the door nob only feels locked from the outside, meaning it can always be opened easily from the inside. With 3 small children, this was a major concern. We decided to park our double stroller with locked wheels in front of the door to keep the kids from getting out. We did have a couple of maintenance issues (light in kitchen went out, no broom) which were addressed in a timely manner. The people at Resort Quest were VERY friendly, and very easy to work with. We also chose to rent baby gear (stroller, pack n' play and high chair) from a company called Baby's Away. That was also a HUGE added bonus and worked out perfectly. I highly recommend renting from them, they deliver the items to the condo so they are there when you arrive, and they pick them up after you depart. Super easy! Another thing I loved about the condo was the fact that it was nice and quiet. The floors didn't creak so I wasn't worried we were bothering anyone below us, and we never heard any of our neighbors above us or through the walls. This really was such a great stay for our family! Thank you so much!"

Summer House Travel Tips

Summer House Condos at the Tennis Courts

Twenty miles outside of Charleston, South Carolina is a barrier island, where you'll find the gated resort communities of Wild Dunes and Isle of Palms Resort. Summer is the best time to take advantage of Summer House condos in Wild Dunes, when the sun wakes you early and the days remain warm through sunset. Play at one of two golf courses and at tennis courts, and much more right out the front door of your Charleston rentals.

Isle of Palms Resort and Tom Fazio Architecture

The golf courses at Isle of Palms Resort were created by Tom Fazio. Fazio is a world-renowned golf course architect, designing courses throughout the United States and a few in the United Kingdom. You can expect the courses near Charleston rentals to have many obstacles such as water hazards, sand traps, and sloping fairways. If you are not a golfer, you might find the Har-Tru tennis courts to be perfect. There are a number of tennis courts near Summer House condos, as well as a private course on-site for you to enjoy.

Charleston Rentals for Romantic Expeditions

With Charleston rentals just minutes from Historic Downtown Charleston, you have plenty of adventure waiting for you. If you are on a romantic getaway to Isle of Palms Resort, make sure to take a horse-drawn carriage ride around town. You may also want to visit the Aquarium Wharf, Old City Market, and the churches of Charleston.

Summer House Condos near Sites of Importance

Kiawah Island and Wild Dunes are closer to Mount Pleasant. In Mount Pleasant, you'll find the Naval Museum, an old carrier ship, and Boone Plantation. You can reach Mount Pleasant from Summer House condos in about 20 minutes. Charleston also provides numerous historical sites you might wish to visit like Fort Sumter. If you want privacy, you never have to leave the island to experience a great vacation.
