  • Family thanksgiving reunion

"Our 3 families from the East coast meet at Wild Dunes for a long weekend/holiday. Every thing in the condo was just right for us. Check in and departure were a breeze. It is a great place to stay!"

  • An exceptional property

"We found this property impeccably clean and extremely comfortable. The location was superb for both the beach and the pool together with the shops at Mount Pleasant. All in all we had the most amazing holiday and the owners were extremely helpful."

  • Nice home, great location, but a few small issues

"We have vacationed in Wild Dunes for 14 years and have stayed in lots of different homes. This was our first time staying in Fairway Oaks. We loved the location - middle of WD and really close to beach access. The area was very peaceful and quiet, even with construction on the house next door. The decor was mostly updated and comfortable. However.... There were some weird things about the house. The biggest thing is that the nicest, largest bathroom is on the first floor while the master bedroom is upstairs. The bathroom that is next to the master bedroom (only room with king bed and walk-in closet) had less storage and a much smaller shower with minimal water pressure. It felt strange that our kids had a much nicer bathroom than we did. Also, the house was not as clean as I would expect from WD. It needed a good dusting, and the floors didn't seem like they had been mopped in a while. We found someone's toiletry bag in a drawer of the upstairs bathroom. It seemed weird that housekeeping didn't notice it. There is a small bathroom on the ground floor that would have been great to use after coming off the beach. We weren't able to use it, however, because it had never been cleaned from a previous guest. A dirty washcloth was on the floor, along with shampoo bottles and trash. I told the girl at WD office, and she offered to have someone clean it. We declined since we were already settled in. She assured me the bathroom would get cleaned on Wednesday during our mid-week cleaning. The cleaning was basically a bathroom straightening and a change of towels. Floors still needed a good mopping, and the dirty bathroom was untouched. We were not impressed AT ALL with the cleaning staff. Overall, the house was nice, but I don't think we would stay there again. It just wasn't our favorite, and there are lots of other options at that price point. The cleaning issue definitely sealed the deal for us."

  • Lagoon Villa 8 Great Location

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in several different condos in Wild dunes. This was our first time staying in a complex not on the ocean side. The walk to the beach was really quick, beach access was pretty much directly across the street. I actually enjoyed the walk in the breezy beautiful weather, in the heat of the summer I would probably feel differently because we tend to take A LOT of stuff to the beach. The furniture was newer, the laminate floors looked very new and clean. The whole condo was very clean. The washer and dryer were older but worked great. The bedrooms were located on opposite sides of the living room and I was surprised how the noise did not carry and my 4 kids shared the one bedroom. It was quieter than my own home-lol. The kitchen was stocked nicely except for glasses. We needed some smaller and maybe plastic cups for my kids, I just bought some solo cups, problem solved. One thing that was stressful was the lack of towels. There were only enough towels for 3 people. If the condo sleeps 6 there should be 6 towel sets. We had a minor problem with internet service and it was handled quickly by the realty company. I should mention that someone did need to be in the condo for the cable provider to enter, it was inconvenient at the time, and I wish someone from the realty company would have been present. The modem was hooked up to an outlet that gets turned off whenever the switch is flipped. Figured this out after 30 minutes of trying to figure out why the internet was down again. And then the A/C went out in the master bedroom , on our last day. The pool is probably the nicest one out of the 4 complexes we have stayed at in wild dunes. Having to have a key to enter is annoying. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable with 2 adults and 4 children. The location was great and I would definitely stay here again."
