"The house had a perfect layout for my family. It was cozy but with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. All the amenities were provided and it was only a short walk to the beach. The owner was so accommodating and friendly that we completely felt at home."Guest: Diane Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: October 14, 2014View listing
"Our three generation family all enjoyed this trip to Isle of Palms. Owner Rita Stone was welcoming and promptly helped us with our questions. The house is comfortable and very well decorated. The stretch golf cart helped us get down to the beach with our gear. We could walk to the pool, a wonderful restaurant and small store."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 12, 2014View listing
"My wife and 2 daughters stayed here for Spring Break in April of 2014. I made all of the reservations online and had really no clue, outside of the photos, what to expect as I had never used this system before. Wow. This property is not only beautiful it is perfectly situated next to the beach and away from lots of people. It is in a quiet cul-de-sac inside of the Wild Dunes resort. The owners are very professional, accommodating, and friendly. The resort staff is top notch. As I write this review I struggle to find any issues we had while we were there. I struggle because we had none and this was the best family vacation we have ever had. Coming back to this beautiful home everyday was pure pleasure. We will be back!"Guest: Nathan Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: August 27, 2014View listing
"We stayed in this wonderful house for a week last Christmas & it was great! The house is very attractively decorated, has plenty of room (we were 7 - 5 adults/2 little children) & we had room to spare. It has a perfect livingroom w/comfortable seating & a gas fireplace, much appreciated for chilly Dec. nights & much needed for Santa, of course! On this floor there is also a bedroom & bath, a sunroom/den area, a great, well stocked kitchen where we all could congregate, & a screened in porch right off the kitchen (w/ no access out which was good for us... Didn't want anyone to accident,y let the cat or the 1 1/2 yr old out). Even tho it was Dec., we were able to eat many meals out there which was nice. Also, the 'indoor' kitty got to enjoy the outdoors watching plenty of birds from this 2nd story porch. Besides the 3 bedrooms upstairs & 1 down, there is a room with a bed off the master that our grandson nicknamed 'the treehouse'. This was his room, & he loved it. We did not use the deck off of this room because of the weather, but it would be great any other season. The house is also in a perfect location... steps to the beautiful beach, tennis courts, Grand Pavillion, & assoc. pool (warm enough to swim in even in Dec). The hotel across the street is where our 5 yr old learned to play checkers & where our children went for after dinner drinks while we babysat their children @ home. I think there is a spa there, too. Charleston is SO close... close enough to hop in for lunch or dinner or to spend the day shopping. We had several lunches & a great dinner in there & spent a fun morning at the Children's ' Museum. There is golf on & off the island, & besides the island grocery store, there is Whole Foods, Trader Joes & Harris Teeters right off the island. We would DEFINITELY recommend this house AND Isle of Palms & Wild Dunes to anyone!"Guest: Elizabeth Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: October 15, 2014View listing
Wild Dunes Travel Tips
Wild Dunes Lodging Complete with Gazebo
Picture a short wooden pathway that branches off to a pool and gazebo before continuing on down to a private beach and you will be pretty close to imagining what Wild Dunes lodging can offer you. You are not only right on the Atlantic Ocean with Wild Dunes condos, you are also 20 minutes from downtown Charleston, South Carolina with all of its wonderful attractions. It is possible to spend the day at Charleston rentals filling your time with relaxing activities or walking along city streets window shopping.
Wild Dunes Condos near the Aquarium Wharf
Charleston is a fabulous city with historic tours of 18th and 19th century homes. The architecture will amaze you because of the detail and hard work put into each of these historic homes. The entire day can be spent away from Wild Dunes condos as you tour the Aquarium Wharf or old southern plantations nearby. Aquarium Wharf provides you a glance at the world's oceans and waterway systems, educating you on the various marine life species you might encounter on a scuba diving or snorkeling trip. In fact, you might be so excited after visiting the aquarium that you decide to rent snorkeling equipment to use during your stay at Charleston rentals.
Charleston Rentals and the Perfect Fish Dinner
Fishing is possible at Charleston rentals and you can either rent a boat or fish right off the town pier. Wild Dunes lodging options can help you if you decide to rent a boat, providing suggestions for the best tour operator. Locals enjoy deep sea fishing off the shores where they can catch shark, tuna, and other large fish for dinner. You can also join in this fun and bring fresh fish back to Wild Dunes condos. The accommodations provide barbecue grills for the perfect grilled fish meal.
Wild Dunes Lodging in the Gate Community
Wild Dunes is a private gated community complete with a golf course. Every morning you can wake up at Wild Dunes lodging for a day of 18 holes. Challenges vary from water obstacles and bunkers to sloping fairways and trees. For families with children, the pool and mini golf courses are perfect.
