"We really enjoyed our stay at Lagoon Villas and would love to stay again. The condo is close to the beach and the pool is just outside the unit. The unit is well stocked and was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed being within the resort with the walking and biking paths. I didn't realize there were pool chairs/toys in the unit and wish we would have utilized those. If that was included in the amenities, I missed it. The resort is close to Charleston and we really enjoyed the day we spent there. There is a grocery store that is close and there are plenty of great dining choices. I was grateful for the book of restaurants and activities that the owners/renters have put together. This was helpful for us to decide what we wanted to do in the area. I only have two recommendations. The first is that the wifi is not adequate and needs to be fixed. The second is that we would have enjoyed an outdoor grill. We like to cook some of our own meals and a grill would have been helpful."Guest: Dawn B. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 11, 2014View listing
"In an effort to not be repetitive of our review from last year, we returned this year for two weeks of family fun at Wild Dunes. Our stay was nothing short of perfect; weather, house and overall experience. The owners are a pleasure to work with and our hope is to continue to make memories in this house for years to come. Again, please read our review from last year, non of which has changed. This place is perfect!"Guest: Shannon Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 12, 2014View listing
"This spot is perfect for a relaxing vacation stay. The kitchen has been totally remodeled, and the bedding redone. There is a great back porch for alligator/lagoon/golf watching, and a short walk (or cart ride) to the beach. Centrally located, just a few minutes walk to the pavilion, Hudson's Market, Tennis and Golf center and the swim center. The local property manager is always available and very helpful, and the owner is a delight to work with. The high speed internet is a HUGE benefit. Perfect WiFi made for a great time for the kids watching Netflix on their tablets. :-) This is our 5th or 6th stay at this property and we absolutely love it. All the comforts of home but in a great vacation location!"Guest: Dr Steve Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 27, 2014View listing
"This was a perfect house for our family reunion including two babies. The house was spacious with room to read, nap, laugh, and cook. We especially loved both porches. We enjoyed the beach, pool, and our walks early morning."Guest: Tara Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 8, 2014View listing
Wild Dunes Travel Tips
Wild Dunes Lodging Complete with Gazebo
Picture a short wooden pathway that branches off to a pool and gazebo before continuing on down to a private beach and you will be pretty close to imagining what Wild Dunes lodging can offer you. You are not only right on the Atlantic Ocean with Wild Dunes condos, you are also 20 minutes from downtown Charleston, South Carolina with all of its wonderful attractions. It is possible to spend the day at Charleston rentals filling your time with relaxing activities or walking along city streets window shopping.
Wild Dunes Condos near the Aquarium Wharf
Charleston is a fabulous city with historic tours of 18th and 19th century homes. The architecture will amaze you because of the detail and hard work put into each of these historic homes. The entire day can be spent away from Wild Dunes condos as you tour the Aquarium Wharf or old southern plantations nearby. Aquarium Wharf provides you a glance at the world's oceans and waterway systems, educating you on the various marine life species you might encounter on a scuba diving or snorkeling trip. In fact, you might be so excited after visiting the aquarium that you decide to rent snorkeling equipment to use during your stay at Charleston rentals.
Charleston Rentals and the Perfect Fish Dinner
Fishing is possible at Charleston rentals and you can either rent a boat or fish right off the town pier. Wild Dunes lodging options can help you if you decide to rent a boat, providing suggestions for the best tour operator. Locals enjoy deep sea fishing off the shores where they can catch shark, tuna, and other large fish for dinner. You can also join in this fun and bring fresh fish back to Wild Dunes condos. The accommodations provide barbecue grills for the perfect grilled fish meal.
Wild Dunes Lodging in the Gate Community
Wild Dunes is a private gated community complete with a golf course. Every morning you can wake up at Wild Dunes lodging for a day of 18 holes. Challenges vary from water obstacles and bunkers to sloping fairways and trees. For families with children, the pool and mini golf courses are perfect.
