"This is a top notch condo. I am very picky and have stayed in several condos that were not what was pictured. This condo is even better than the photos- seriously. Spotless, well-maintained, high quality furnishings and linens. Plenty of room and privacy. Kitchen had everything I needed and the cookware, utensils, etc. were high quality. Beautiful views of ocean from balcony and an easy walk to the pool and beach. We had 4 wonderful days on the beach and by the pool when the sun was out and it was warm enough. When too cool or rainy, we headed to Charleston for fun. Ate breakfast and lunch at condo daily and dinners out at very good nearby restaurants: Poe's Tavern, High Thyme Cuisine, Acme Lowcountry Cooking, Crave. Gene (owner) was prompt in answering questions and handled this rental smoothly. We had such a pleasant and relaxing week and I plan on renting this beautiful condo again. Thank you, Gene."Guest: MountainDoc Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 27, 2014View listing

"We rented this house with 2 other couples as part of a golfing vacation and thoroughly enjoyed the house and the Wild Dunes resort. This house has pretty much anything anybody would want to enjoy your stay and the island has great options for recreation and places to eat ... and of course the ocean and beach are close by too. Having access to a golf cart and the owner providing tips for a our stay was a nice touch too. The only down side was the end of the vacation and the return to reality. Thanks again."Guest: Ron V. "This spot is perfect for a relaxing vacation stay. The kitchen has been totally remodeled, and the bedding redone. There is a great back porch for alligator/lagoon/golf watching, and a short walk (or cart ride) to the beach. Centrally located, just a few minutes walk to the pavilion, Hudson's Market, Tennis and Golf center and the swim center. The local property manager is always available and very helpful, and the owner is a delight to work with. The high speed internet is a HUGE benefit. Perfect WiFi made for a great time for the kids watching Netflix on their tablets. :-) This is our 5th or 6th stay at this property and we absolutely love it. All the comforts of home but in a great vacation location!"Guest: Dr Steve Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 27, 2014View listing
Wild Dunes Travel Tips
Wild Dunes Lodging Complete with Gazebo
Picture a short wooden pathway that branches off to a pool and gazebo before continuing on down to a private beach and you will be pretty close to imagining what Wild Dunes lodging can offer you. You are not only right on the Atlantic Ocean with Wild Dunes condos, you are also 20 minutes from downtown Charleston, South Carolina with all of its wonderful attractions. It is possible to spend the day at Charleston rentals filling your time with relaxing activities or walking along city streets window shopping.
Wild Dunes Condos near the Aquarium Wharf
Charleston is a fabulous city with historic tours of 18th and 19th century homes. The architecture will amaze you because of the detail and hard work put into each of these historic homes. The entire day can be spent away from Wild Dunes condos as you tour the Aquarium Wharf or old southern plantations nearby. Aquarium Wharf provides you a glance at the world's oceans and waterway systems, educating you on the various marine life species you might encounter on a scuba diving or snorkeling trip. In fact, you might be so excited after visiting the aquarium that you decide to rent snorkeling equipment to use during your stay at Charleston rentals.
Charleston Rentals and the Perfect Fish Dinner
Fishing is possible at Charleston rentals and you can either rent a boat or fish right off the town pier. Wild Dunes lodging options can help you if you decide to rent a boat, providing suggestions for the best tour operator. Locals enjoy deep sea fishing off the shores where they can catch shark, tuna, and other large fish for dinner. You can also join in this fun and bring fresh fish back to Wild Dunes condos. The accommodations provide barbecue grills for the perfect grilled fish meal.
Wild Dunes Lodging in the Gate Community
Wild Dunes is a private gated community complete with a golf course. Every morning you can wake up at Wild Dunes lodging for a day of 18 holes. Challenges vary from water obstacles and bunkers to sloping fairways and trees. For families with children, the pool and mini golf courses are perfect.
