"We stayed in this wonderful house for a week last Christmas & it was great! The house is very attractively decorated, has plenty of room (we were 7 - 5 adults/2 little children) & we had room to spare. It has a perfect livingroom w/comfortable seating & a gas fireplace, much appreciated for chilly Dec. nights & much needed for Santa, of course! On this floor there is also a bedroom & bath, a sunroom/den area, a great, well stocked kitchen where we all could congregate, & a screened in porch right off the kitchen (w/ no access out which was good for us... Didn't want anyone to accident,y let the cat or the 1 1/2 yr old out). Even tho it was Dec., we were able to eat many meals out there which was nice. Also, the 'indoor' kitty got to enjoy the outdoors watching plenty of birds from this 2nd story porch. Besides the 3 bedrooms upstairs & 1 down, there is a room with a bed off the master that our grandson nicknamed 'the treehouse'. This was his room, & he loved it. We did not use the deck off of this room because of the weather, but it would be great any other season. The house is also in a perfect location... steps to the beautiful beach, tennis courts, Grand Pavillion, & assoc. pool (warm enough to swim in even in Dec). The hotel across the street is where our 5 yr old learned to play checkers & where our children went for after dinner drinks while we babysat their children @ home. I think there is a spa there, too. Charleston is SO close... close enough to hop in for lunch or dinner or to spend the day shopping. We had several lunches & a great dinner in there & spent a fun morning at the Children's ' Museum. There is golf on & off the island, & besides the island grocery store, there is Whole Foods, Trader Joes & Harris Teeters right off the island. We would DEFINITELY recommend this house AND Isle of Palms & Wild Dunes to anyone!"Guest: Elizabeth Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: October 15, 2014View listing
"Overall we had an excellent time on our trip to Isle of Palms and this house was a nice part of it. While there were a few problems with the house we really enjoyed our stay. Pro's: Close to the beach, beautiful grounds in The Wild Dunes Property, property management company (Sweetgrass) was wonderful to work with, many updates to the house, nice towels, clean. Con's: 2nd floor could use more updates, beds were very uncomfortable, not enough amenities such as toilet paper and garbage bags, etc., shower curtain was moldy, bedding was a little used, screen on back porch needed repair."Guest: Diane Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 13, 2014View listing
"We rented this condo for a 5 day girls getaway in September. From the beginning of our stay everything was better than we expected. Our check in was a breeze and we were happily surprised by the condo. It was set up like a townhouse so we only shared one adjourning wall. The condo was well equipped with a 'starter' package of supplies that made the condo feel more like hotel accommodations. This easy saved us almost $100 in supplies that you would traditionally pay for a homeaway rental property. When we checked out, we didn't have to do laundry or clean the condo, it was all taken care of after check out at no additional cost. This made for a perfectly relaxing vacation. We are already planning our trip for next year!!"Guest: Amanda M. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 17, 2014View listing
"My family stayed here for the second time this year. We come down to WDR from Kentucky in October every year during Fall Break. This unit really has everything a family needs. We love the close proximity to the beach (just steps from the front door or back portch). The unit is nicely decorated and the kitched is fully furnished if you like to eat some of your meals in. We spend a lot of time at the beach and being able to come back to the villa through the screened in back portch is very convenient. Just drop your chairs/boogie boards/kids toys off on the deck, strip the kids down and come on in... The second bedroom is great... Two kids beds, separate closets and a tv with built in DVD player really helps them to "wind down" in the evenings after a long day at the beach. Back home, we live in the coutry and don't really have a place for our kids to ride their bikes or scooters. There are sidewalks throughout WDR and you can rent bikes for the week. This year, the weather was a little cooler than normal when we were here, so the inground pool beside the building was very cold. We used the sport pass to get us in to the heated pool beside the tennis courts. This unit could use some minor updates... maybe some new carpet or area rugs, but all in all, it is very nice and couldn't be more functional and family friendly. We will be returning again!"Guest: Darby Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 26, 2014View listing
