"My family stayed here for the second time this year. We come down to WDR from Kentucky in October every year during Fall Break. This unit really has everything a family needs. We love the close proximity to the beach (just steps from the front door or back portch). The unit is nicely decorated and the kitched is fully furnished if you like to eat some of your meals in. We spend a lot of time at the beach and being able to come back to the villa through the screened in back portch is very convenient. Just drop your chairs/boogie boards/kids toys off on the deck, strip the kids down and come on in... The second bedroom is great... Two kids beds, separate closets and a tv with built in DVD player really helps them to "wind down" in the evenings after a long day at the beach. Back home, we live in the coutry and don't really have a place for our kids to ride their bikes or scooters. There are sidewalks throughout WDR and you can rent bikes for the week. This year, the weather was a little cooler than normal when we were here, so the inground pool beside the building was very cold. We used the sport pass to get us in to the heated pool beside the tennis courts. This unit could use some minor updates... maybe some new carpet or area rugs, but all in all, it is very nice and couldn't be more functional and family friendly. We will be returning again!"Guest: Darby Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 26, 2014View listing
"We had an excellent Family holiday here - a first visit for the whole party of 3 generations from the UK to South Carolina. The property was wonderful - very comfortable with bathrooms for everyone. The main level was perfect for planning our days. Location to the beach - brilliant although we have never seen so many ants! Having a pool close by - a bonus - all with chairs from the house brilliant especially coming from overseas. So much to see and do around - Charlston was very easy to drive into and spend half a day and return to go to the beach or pool - ideal. we also visited Boone Hall which was very educational and good value for money - especially after a visit to Biltmore ! We also spent too long at the shopping outlet just before returning home. Being from the UK - we bought more knives for the drawer - we do eat with forks and knives! However we found the Pelican Bay perfect for our needs. It felt lovely and homely - the air- conditioning a bonus we did use as apparently it was unseasonably hot. The people in SC were so friendly - we went to church on Sunday and were given a phone number in case we needed anything! We did find the local supermarket - Harris Teeter - expensive after Ingles in NC, but in was nearby. Some of the resturants nearby were closed but did go to Boat house which was good, and Salt on Sullivans Island which was excellent. Kristen, also thank you for your help, advice and patience as we struggled with payment. A lovely place and area which we would all highly recommend. Charlston was fab - so much to see and so little time. Thank you."Guest: Jan Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 5, 2014View listing
"This was a our first time to the Isle of Palms-Charleston area. With out question this was our very best vacation ever. The accommodations were top notch!! The beds were amazing....we loved the kitchen which was brand new. The living room was awesome and the showers just the same. I can't complain about anything at this condo. The pictures shown don't do it justice! The pool was AWESOME (Oh yeah and the beach...ahhhhh)!!! If you are looking for a relaxing time with amazing amenities...this is the place for you. We will definitely be staying here again!!! It is so close to so many things!! Thank you so much for everything!!"Guest: sprousehouse Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 21, 2014View listing
"We loved the location of this house, a quick walk to the beach with breathtaking views of the ocean. Definitely a little wear and tear on the house but everything was still comfortable and clean. LOVED the screened porch. Bunk bed room is small, be aware, we had to rent a crib to use and put it in this room and it was SUPER tight. Otherwise the space was fine in the house, we had two wee little ones and three adults and everyone was comfortable. Ocean Point is a great location, nice pool and very quiet and private."Guest: Family of 5 Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 17, 2014View listing

It is possible to spend the day at Charleston rentals filling your time with relaxing activities or walking along city streets window shopping.
Wild Dunes Condos near the Aquarium Wharf
Charleston is a fabulous city with historic tours of 18th and 19th century homes. The architecture will amaze you because of the detail and hard work put into each of these historic homes. The entire day can be spent away from Wild Dunes condos as you tour the Aquarium Wharf or old southern plantations nearby. Aquarium Wharf provides you a glance at the world's oceans and waterway systems, educating you on the various marine life species you might encounter on a scuba diving or snorkeling trip. In fact, you might be so excited after visiting the aquarium that you decide to rent snorkeling equipment to use during your stay at Charleston rentals.
Charleston Rentals and the Perfect Fish Dinner
Fishing is possible at Charleston rentals and you can either rent a boat or fish right off the town pier. Wild Dunes lodging options can help you if you decide to rent a boat, providing suggestions for the best tour operator. Locals enjoy deep sea fishing off the shores where they can catch shark, tuna, and other large fish for dinner. You can also join in this fun and bring fresh fish back to Wild Dunes condos. The accommodations provide barbecue grills for the perfect grilled fish meal.

Wild Dunes is a private gated community complete with a golf course. Every morning you can wake up at Wild Dunes lodging for a day of 18 holes. Challenges vary from water obstacles and bunkers to sloping fairways and trees. For families with children, the pool and mini golf courses are perfect.
