  • Great condo in a great area!

"We really enjoyed our stay at Lagoon Villas and would love to stay again. The condo is close to the beach and the pool is just outside the unit. The unit is well stocked and was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed being within the resort with the walking and biking paths. I didn't realize there were pool chairs/toys in the unit and wish we would have utilized those. If that was included in the amenities, I missed it. The resort is close to Charleston and we really enjoyed the day we spent there. There is a grocery store that is close and there are plenty of great dining choices. I was grateful for the book of restaurants and activities that the owners/renters have put together. This was helpful for us to decide what we wanted to do in the area. I only have two recommendations. The first is that the wifi is not adequate and needs to be fixed. The second is that we would have enjoyed an outdoor grill. We like to cook some of our own meals and a grill would have been helpful."

  • Nicely appointed, very comfortable oceanfront condo right on the beach

"We have stayed in several condos on Wild Dunes and have had mixed experiences. My family loved this condo for lots of reasons. It is very warm and welcoming and it is furnished nicely and well kept. We like to cook-in a lot because we spend every spare minute on the beach and often don't want to use our time going out to eat, and it has a nice big kitchen with lots of cooking utensils/pots/pans/dishes. The couch and chairs in the living room were very comfortable---not always the case with other condos. There is a TV in every bedroom plus the living room and clear directions for using the TVs and locating channels. This isn't always the case in other condos and can be a hassle. The bathrooms for each bedroom is a big plus. The owners were very customer service oriented and answered our questions promptly and completely. If we have a chance, we will definitely stay here again. Oh - one more thing. The pool has its own bathrooms. This is a very big plus and wasn't the case at other condos on Wild Dunes we stayed at. We would have to go back to our condo if we were at the beach or pool."

  • Perfect family rental house

"The house had a perfect layout for my family. It was cozy but with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. All the amenities were provided and it was only a short walk to the beach. The owner was so accommodating and friendly that we completely felt at home."

  • Wonderful!

"Our family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children( ages 10-15), stayed here for a week after Christmas. The location is great, in the resort of Wild Dunes but about 25 minutes drive to Charleston. The house is spacious, clean, with lovely decor, the photos are accurate. It was very quiet at night and beds were comfortable. We made use of the bikes provided and enjoyed the trails throughout the resort. We walked to the private beach a few times. One of the highlights of our trip was seeing some dolphins very close to the shore and my daughter finding a perfect sand dollar. We drove into the beautiful city of Charleston a few times and visited a plantation. We also enjoyed being close to Sullivan's Island for dinner at Salt and Poe's Tavern. We'd love to visit again when the weather is warmer to fully take advantage of the beach, the porches/deck around the house and the resort amenities. The owners were easy to deal with and responded promptly to all inquiries. We would highly recommend this property."

Wild Dunes Travel Tips

Wild Dunes Lodging Complete with Gazebo

Picture a short wooden pathway that branches off to a pool and gazebo before continuing on down to a private beach and you will be pretty close to imagining what Wild Dunes lodging can offer you. You are not only right on the Atlantic Ocean with Wild Dunes condos, you are also 20 minutes from downtown Charleston, South Carolina with all of its wonderful attractions. It is possible to spend the day at Charleston rentals filling your time with relaxing activities or walking along city streets window shopping.

Wild Dunes Condos near the Aquarium Wharf

Charleston is a fabulous city with historic tours of 18th and 19th century homes. The architecture will amaze you because of the detail and hard work put into each of these historic homes. The entire day can be spent away from Wild Dunes condos as you tour the Aquarium Wharf or old southern plantations nearby. Aquarium Wharf provides you a glance at the world's oceans and waterway systems, educating you on the various marine life species you might encounter on a scuba diving or snorkeling trip. In fact, you might be so excited after visiting the aquarium that you decide to rent snorkeling equipment to use during your stay at Charleston rentals.

Charleston Rentals and the Perfect Fish Dinner

Fishing is possible at Charleston rentals and you can either rent a boat or fish right off the town pier. Wild Dunes lodging options can help you if you decide to rent a boat, providing suggestions for the best tour operator. Locals enjoy deep sea fishing off the shores where they can catch shark, tuna, and other large fish for dinner. You can also join in this fun and bring fresh fish back to Wild Dunes condos. The accommodations provide barbecue grills for the perfect grilled fish meal.

Wild Dunes Lodging in the Gate Community

Wild Dunes is a private gated community complete with a golf course. Every morning you can wake up at Wild Dunes lodging for a day of 18 holes. Challenges vary from water obstacles and bunkers to sloping fairways and trees. For families with children, the pool and mini golf courses are perfect.
