"This "house" feels more like "home". The descripion on VRBO doesn't do it justice. Either the owners are interior designers and experienced landscapers, or they just have excellent taste. Everything in the pictures is exactly as we found it upon arrival - the house and yard were immaculate. Our family of 14, from senior citizens to toddlers, enjoyed relaxing on the porch in cushioned chairs, cooking in the well stocked kitchen, hanging out in the pool, napping in the huge living area, and of course, beach visits (even an outdoor shower with hot water!). There's a neighborhood park with swings, slides, etc. a few short blocks away. Take your bicycle and ride to the Marina. We have stayed in other houses at IOP and Wild Dunes during previous annual family beach trips, but this home is by far the best. I'll be making a reservation for next year right away."

  • Great time was had by all

"This beach house is in a great location and had a perfect layout for our group of 4 adults and 1 child. It was a short walk to the beach and the community pool was just around the corner. The owners were most generous with sharing many amenities in the house-they truly tried to think of anything a guest might need. The house was equipped with many towel racks and hooks, which is so helpful in getting those beach towels dry. Isle of Palms is a beautiful island and this little Victorian village is just exceptional. Charleston is a short ride away and there is much to do in the area. We had a wonderful week at this house. Working with the girls at the rental agency was a breeze--they were most accommodating. (There was not a beach wagon when we visited and the golf cart was sadly not part of the package 😥)"

  • Annual girls' trip

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful home - 14 of us were comfortable and relaxed from the moment we arrived. To nit-pick, the only suggestions we have are that the sheets are not that soft, pretty scratchy actually, and some umbrellas poolside would be nice to go with the lovely chairs. Also one of the ovens was not working. Otherwise, perfection. Manager responded on 10/22/2014: Hi Donna, Thank you for your review of 612 Ocean Blvd. We're glad to have you back with us! To comment on your tried putting an umbrella on the pool side table but the winds off the ocean kept blowing it over. One of the wall ovens in the kitchen had a heating element that went bad the day you arrived. The part has been replaced already. All our sheets and bath terry are supplied and professionally laundered by a linen company. The laundering process sanitizes the sheets and this process may make it a bit stiffer than sheets laundered at home. East Islands Rentals"

  • Wonderful Stay

"If you are looking for a relaxing place with a great beach for walking, the sound of ocean waves, clean pool, away from traffic and fast food, and to read some books, this is it. The condo has a comfortable bed, a toilet that flushes, a screened porch, elevators to the 3rd floor if needed, and a welcome family room, although the new sofa bed should have been in better shape - I am notifying the owner. The kitchen is small but adequate and open to the family room with the laundry next to it (convenient). The washer and dryer are very nice, although the notes on them could be rewritten for appearance sake and clarity. The instruction booklet was there to help, though, when a code appeared on the washer. We looked it up and it was a plugged drain tube which we were able to unplug, no problem. The lint screen MUST be cleaned after each drying load because it works very well. It was a nice drive to Sullivans Island and from there to Patriots Point in Mt Pleasant. From there we took the water taxi to Charleston round trip and to Ft Sumter another time. It's a beautiful part of our country; if you get a chance to visit Wild Dunes, Charleston, the islands to enjoy good local food and review some history, GO."
