"The house was everything we expected from the description. The owners were easy to work with. The home is beautiful and well maintained. My family has vacationed on kiawah island for 22 years. This house is in the best location on the island. Easy to bike to everything. I would definitely rent this home again."

  • An excellent vacation "home" - Two years in a row!

"This is the second year we've stayed at this lovely home, and it didn't disappoint. This house feels like the home of a friend, not an anonymous vacation rental. The interiors are beautiful and comfortable for active families. The kitchen is well stocked with go-to pots, pans and other tools. And the layout artfully combines extremely generous space (high ceilings, 5 BRs, solid new construction, etc) and intimacy with an open kitchen/family room area looking out over the pool. Everyone can 'hang out' together even while doing separate things. It's only a brief walk to the beach, but rental bikes allow even more exploration and freedom of transportation. I'd recommend reserving bikes in advance (despite easy access in years past, we found them all sold out this time). We will be back as soon as possible!"

  • Ocean Lovers Paradise

"Friends that visit are amazed at the ocean view and have told us they have not been in any property with a better view. Because it overlooks a fairway, it gives the impression of a finely manicured front lawn that extends to the ocean. Since it is south facing you have sunshine all day. On days when it may be a little chilly in the shade, it is often very warm on the porch. If you prefer a lagoon view, there is a screened in porch over looking an active lagoon. You can sit and watch the Egrets and Herons fly in and out to your hearts content. You can take a short walk on the beach and arrive at The Sanctuary Hotel with a wonderful lounge and Spa. It is obvious the owners take pride in their home and immediately take care of any items that might need addressing. You can walk or bike to tennis, golf or a pool. We continue to come to this property because we love it so much."

  • Room to Relax and More

"While the pictures are great, they do not do justice to the spaciousness of this wonderful home. Our family of 10 - 2 daughters, their husbands, and their daughters, ages 8 & 11 and 9 & 12 - had lots of room to spread out and share conversation and fun. The kitchen was perfect for multiple cooks; the living room was great for our crowd enjoying the World Cup and all the windows provided great opportunities to enjoy the beautiful landscaping, the 12th hole of Cougar Point and our "neighbor", the alligator(s). The owner was great about answering questions before our arrival and responding to a call while we were at his home. The location was excellent - close to the beach and close to shopping at Fresh Fields. We rented bikes from Alligator Bikes and found the bikes (and adult trike) delivered to our doorstep when we arrived. None of our 4 granddaughters wanted to leave on Saturday. The 12-year-old said she loved "all the activities". They had fished with their dads, kayaked with their moms, played in the surf, ridden their bikes along the trails, flown kites on the beach, enjoyed the Thursday night "dive-in" at The Sanctuary, devoured meals at Chez Fish, the Oceans Clubhouse, and the Loggerhead Grille. The quiet cul-de-sac where the house is located provided a great spot for the girls to ride their bikes while they waited for the next activity. My only reservation about the home had been its lack of a screened porch. I need not have worried. The deck was a great spot for relaxing with a drink before dinner - it was mosquito free - and had beautiful views of the natural setting, with blue heron, egrets and alligators to entertain (as well as a possible bobcat sighting). I would definitely recommend this property."
