  • Wonderful Week

"This house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is clean, well furnished, convenient for biking, enjoying the beach, walking, shopping in the Village, and relaxing. The drive to Charleston is interesting, especially with a stop at the Angel Oak. The photos of the home on line were accurate, and the entire process of renting was smooth. The owner and Beachwalker Rentals went out of their way to accommodate any need. I highly recommend this lovely vacation spot!"

  • Once again, Kiawah by Owner delivers...

"This was our fourth trip to Kiawah using Kiawah by Owner. This time we chose Turtle Cove Villas for the first time. We fell in love with this condo and so did our two teenagers. It has been re-done, and I can tell the owners are great hosts. There were plenty of towels and cleaning supplies, paper products, etc. There were even spices and a great selection of cooking items. Were it not for school, we would have stayed longer! It was nice to be further in on the island for a change. One note: this unit is not within walking distance of the beach if you have little ones, but this was not a problem for us with driving teenagers. We enjoyed the bike ride to the beach, and actually loved this section of the beach so it was worth the ride! We always enjoy working with Kiawah by Owner as we are very picky and always have a great experience with Susie!"

  • Great Cottage

"We really enjoyed our stay at this nice cottage. Everything was beautiful inside and it was well equipped with everything we needed. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, and the owner was so kind and responsive. An easy bike ride or walk to the beach, but also nice to drive our car to the nearby Night Heron Park when we had lots of beach items in tow, which made an even easier access to the beach. Great place for families with teenagers, as the park is a fun place to play. Thank you for a fun vacation!"

  • Great condo, wonderful resort!

"We had a great stay at this condo. It's the perfect size for two adults and very clean, comfortable and well set-up. The condo is very close to the beach and we enjoyed relaxing on the beach after our morning golf. The condo is also very close to the West Straw Market (great restaurant there for breakfast) as well as the West Beach pool (very nice margaritas!). Kiawah Island is such a nice resort - everyone was really nice and helpful. The golf was outstanding - courses are so nice and in such good condition. The owners of the condo were great to work with - everything was easy, great communications. Definitely would rent this again (in fact, already thinking about next year and we just got home a couple of days ago!). Thanks for letting us stay at your great condo - we really had a great vacation!"

Kiawah Island Travel Tips

About 21 miles from exciting Charleston is the lovely oasis of Kiawah Island, known for its natural beauty and welcoming hospitality. It's a wonderful spot for a romantic getaway for two or a fun-filled adventure for the whole family.

Golf lovers will find five championship courses on the island, so there's plenty of opportunities to practice your swing and challenge others to a friendly game.

Kiawah Island is also known for its pristine 10 miles of beaches that will make you want to spend as much time as possible soaking up the sun and relaxing in the surf. Whether you're ready for some high-energy fun while frolicking in the waves or looking for some peace and quiet as you catch up on your reading, there's plenty of beach for everyone to enjoy. The Travel Channel has honored the island as one of the "Top 10 Beaches for Families," while national Geographic Traveler called the island the "Second Most Romantic Beach in America." The rest of the natural scenery is a treat as well, including the maritime forests and marshes where you might catch a glimpse of a turtle, seabird or whitetail deer.

There's also plenty to experience indoors with a variety of dining options to suit all tastes and lovely shops lining the streets where you can enjoy some retail therapy picking out the perfect souvenirs.

Top it off with bottomless mimosas or bloody marys to really start the day off right.
