"We stayed at the Kiawah Cottage for 6 nights in August 2015 with a total of two families - 4 adults and 5 children. It was our first trip to Kiawah and the Island is spectacular. We actually stayed two nights at the Sanctuary hotel, and then 6 nights at the cottage. It was a lot of fun to experience both the high end resort hotel and all its amenities and then stay in a private home. Overall, we were very happy with the home. It fit both of our families very well, was clean, well equipped and centrally located for trips to the beach, Night Heron Park and all over the Island. We spent most of our days alternating between the beach (7 minute bike ride to the beach path) and the Night Heron Splash Park (since we stayed at the Sanctuary Hotel the staff at the pool gave us access all week for free when we asked). The house itself had a nice charm to it, was comfortable and seemed to have everything we needed. It was very nice that the house includes beach chairs for all. The kitchen and Master Bath were extremely nice. We had a personal chef come in and cook two meals for the group, and the the kitchen seemed to suit him well as it did for the morning breakfasts we cooked. If there was any downside to the house, it it is that it doesn't have any type of out door deck open to the sun and a view. There is a screened in porch, but that is kind of secluded and on the darker side. But the Zen pool for the community, which is very close to house, was terrific and helped to offset not having that deck with a view. On the island itself, we highly recommend going to the Ocean Club (Ocean front golf course) in the early evening for drinks or dinner, going for long bike rides on the beach, hanging on the beach, visiting the amenities at the Sanctuary Hotel including the main pool and bar, the Harris Teeter at Fresh Fields Village, happy hour at the Zen Pool:), the splash park at Night Heron Park, and biking around the island. It was a terrific vacation, and the Cottage played a nice role for us."

"My wife and I decided to make a last-minute trip to Kiawah Island the weekend before Thanksgiving. We had never stayed at 4990 Turtle Point, but the pictures looked fantastic. The reality was SO much better than the pictures! We spent two great days in a beautiful condo overlooking the golf course, about 100 yards away from beach access, and enjoyed the wonderful sun-room and deck. No detail was overlooked by the owners. This place was set up like a beautiful home, not a rental unit. Bravo! We'll be back."

"We spent the week in this fabulous Kiawah villa. The location was fantastic- only a 1/2 mile walk to the beach and located directly on a lagoon. We sat on the back porch all week watching the wonderful wildlife in the backyard in the lagoon. We saw turtles, alligators and herons all day long. The villa was beautifully kept and spacious and was perfect for our family of 6. Perfect place to stay! We highly recommend it!!!!"

"This property and Kiawah Island are very nice. We enjoyed the views from the condo's deck of the 18th green, watching the wild life (alligators, turtles, fish) and all good food available nearby. Traveling into Charleston is convenient and easy (35 min) with even more restaurants, history, tours and other activities. The owner provided us with plenty of information to plan our trip. A very livable condo for a family."
