Small family vacation / reunion
"We had such a blast in this home so big and spacious. We were just a couple of min bike ride from the ocean and it was right in the lagoon so mad it fun to look for animals in the water at night from deck. There was plenty of space for the three small families who stayed lots of living room space and dinning space. The frig was huge with plenty of room for all the groceries. The high light of the stay was the master sweet and the new bathroom was absolutely mind blowing. We all want to stay again and maybe even next year it was great. Just a reminder you are on the lagoon so there are bugs but we found the best way to keep them out was to keep the screens and deck doors shut good..."

Our Home Away From Home for February, March and April
"This is our fifth year renting from Doug and all I can say is that the house works really well for us. The house is situated in a cul de sac and all along the backside of the house are windows and glass doors that offer stunning views of the marsh. A day doesn’t go by without colorful wildlife flying overhead or deer treckking across the marsh.
The interior of the house is spacious and comfortable. The master bedroom & bath are at one end of the house and the guest bedrooms & bathrooms are located at the other end. This makes it nice for guests to have their privacy and vice versa. The kitchen is a little dated but is complete with all the necessary appliances, dishes, etc. My husband has created his own work area at one end of the master bedroom and finds it comfortable. We used the dinning room once in five years because we prefer to sit in the kitchen-family area where we can enjoy the view and natural light. We have never used the living room. It is just my husband, our yellow lab and myself.
The beach and golf courses are within a five- minute drive. The bike path is less than a minute from the bottom of the driveway. The grocery store and boutiques are a 10-15 minute drive.
Doug has been a great landlord. He is attentive and returns calls in a timely manner to assist in resolving any issues.
We hope to return for a sixth time…!"

"We stayed here for April vacation in 2015. There were 7 of us - 5 adults and 2 kids - and we had plenty of space. The kitchen was top-of-the-line, and all the rooms were bright and airy. The view off the deck for sunset was lovely! They organized bikes for our whole family ahead of time, which was great. The management team and owner were very responsive to our needs. We saw deer, alligators, and plenty of birdlife. The ocean was a bit cool for swimming, but walking the beach was so relaxing. Would definitely recommend visiting Kiawah, and this home in particular!"

"As stated in previous reviews, this home is gorgeous and well planned out! We were not disappointed in any of the rooms. We were traveling with another family and had a total of 4 adults with 5 grown kids (ages 23-18). There was plenty of room for us to do our own things w/o being on top of each other. The kitchen is huge and has all the tools needed for just about anything you want to make. I really like having the Utility Room just off the kitchen w/ beach towels, beach bag, and beach blankets. The only thing we wanted but didn't find was Champagne Flutes, that is something they could add. The beds were all comfortable. Not one single complaint from our 5 kids says it all!!! The fact that every bedroom had its own bathroom made it so easy when we were all getting ready to go out. LOVED having the pool! It was a welcome relief from the hot sun after being at the beach or on a nice bike ride. We have stayed on Kiawah for over 15 years and this place was the best yet, we will definitely be back. Helpful Hint: It is a 10 minute bike ride to the beach, so rent a bike w/ a cart. You can put chairs, coolers, and bags on it. I have to add that my experience dealing with the owner was outstanding, and I can ask a lot of questions! Caroline manages the house and she was just as easy to talk to; checked on us regularly and gave good recommendations. Kiawah and the surrounding area are so much fun theres biking, hiking, beach, wildlife, great restaurants, THE SANCTUARY, & shopping just to name a few, they have it all.
Thank you Yvette for a wonderful place to stay on our family trip!"
