  • Memorial Day - 2 families

"We had a great time. House location was perfect, plenty of beach towels available, well equipped kitchen. The screened in porch was a great spot to get some work done and still enjoy being outside. Kids loved the pool and proximity to the ocean was great. We barely turned on the TV during our stay, but there were plenty of movies available if we needed one. Kids loved the house and there was plenty of room for us to spread out."

  • Loved Everything!!!

"We had a fabulous stay at this house. It was the perfect house for our group of 3 families (adults and teens). If you are thinking of booking, you should know that the house looks even better in person than it does in the photos. The main level is huge, with a brand new, beautiful dining table from Pottery Barn that seats at least 10. It also has a breakfast nook that seats 6. The screened porch overlooking the golf course is also larger than it appears and is lovely, as is the covered front porch on the other side of the house. The beds were all in good shape with quality mattresses which is important to us when renting a house. One of the master bedrooms also had a futon-like double bed in it. The kitchen and bathrooms were very well-stocked. The community pool is steps from the house and feels like a private pool. No one else used it while we were there. The ocean is a nice walk and an easy bike ride from the house. We liked the privacy of the house, with it being just a short distance from the beach, but on a cul de sac and without the foot and bike traffic that the beachfront properties experience. The house was spotless and extremely well-maintained. Everything was in excellent working order. The owners were wonderful to work with. We have rented many beach and lake houses over the years and this is among the best. We would gladly return, and are already making plans to."

  • Picture Perfect, but even better!

"My family (6 adults) stayed here over the July 4th week for some relaxation and fun in the sun. The house exceeded our expectations. And it looks even nicer in person than in the photographs. We slept in most of our days, made breakfast, took a long walk or bike ride to the beach and then relaxed by the pool. We took advantage of the local shopping center (great market!) and cooked most of our meals at the house. We also went into Charleston for 2 days and look in the sights and visited local hot spots like Fire Fly Distillery and Holy City Brewing Company. The kitchen is stocked with tons of pots and pans and the grill worked great for all of our BBQ needs. There was only one game in the house, so plan on bringing your own. That would honestly be our biggest complaint (which is hardly a complaint). We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with family, friends, even kids. Thank you so much to Matt and Kathy for opening up your home to us, it was a lovely week."

  • Great Vacation! Beautiful Home.

"We loved this property. Our group included 4 adult women for the first part of the week until our husbands arrived mid-week. The house is warm and nicely decorated and we enjoyed all the amenities the house and Kiawah Resort had to offer. Each couple had their own room with their own bathroom. The kitchen was our main congregating area in the morning and the deck was the congregating area in the afternoon and evening. Both were great areas to plan the day and then review the wonderful activities we did. The house is nicely furnished and decorated in warm colors, very welcoming. Although we did not have any children, the house has amenities for young children, baby seats and pack 'n plays that I can remember seeing. We took advantage of many of Kiawah's amenities. Three of us rented bikes and used them every day as the bike trails and walking trails are wonderful and easy to access. The same three also took paddle boarding lessons for an hour, our instructor was great. Then another day we did yoga on the beach in the morning. We all enjoyed the beach and the Night Heron pool complex. The one amenity that every couple loved was the resort shuttle, no one had to be the designated driver, it was a great service. Kiawah is a beautiful serene location very close to Charleston, SC. The girls flew in and the guys drove in after a golf trip to Myrtle Beach, so very convenient to get to. We would all recommend this house as a great base for your Kiawah get away/vacation. We all loved it's layout, location and the property owner's were very nice to work with in renting this property. We would all highly recommend this house."
