  • Love this Beach Cottage!

"This cottage is perfect for our vacation at Kiawah. Immaculate, furnished with comfortable and easy furniture, it has everything you need. Half a block from the beach - cound not be better. Instead of a screened porch there is extra living space. Floors are all wood. Master bedroom has a walk in shower while the second bath has a tub. All on one level with just a few steps up to the front door. Full sized washer and dryer. Gas grill on the deck. The owner is terrific- replied to my every question (such as were there baking pans for me to bake a birthday cake? Not only pans- also a hand mixer and measuring cups!) quickly. Great find for our vacation. We hope we will stay here again!"

  • Just right for holiday getaway

"We found the OceanWoods Cottage to be perfect for our needs!! The proximity to Night Heron Park was a huge bonus for our children, who enjoyed biking over there daily for pick-up games of basketball and soccer, and we all appreciated being so close to the beach, even in December. We were lucky to have a couple of days of 70 degree, sunny weather, and we took full advantage and biked and played outside the entire time! The house was clean and had an abundance of towels, which was much appreciated! It's a very functional house in a great location, and we hope to return in the future!"

  • great weather

"We stayed 2 weeks in the cottage which has recently been updated. Really appreciated the 4 bicycles. during the 2nd week used the bunk beds and they really looked nice but were a real pain to make up each morning. Good thing we found the step stool because no way to get to that top bunk without it. probably should have just left the beds unmade but we don't live that way. Really thought the kitchen was nicely done however I think we waisted a lot of dish washing soap because with only one sink bowl you had to drain the water out to use the disposal. not really a big issue after I decided to just use a large pan for clearing plates and glasses. The cottage has a dishwashed but with all our dishware we would have been running it 3 times a day to keep up. Other than that the property accomodated us in a reasonable way. I do feel it is very well suited for two families with two or less children each and as our grandchildren grow it may be a little tight for us."

  • Lovely cottage near everything we needed

"We rented this cottage with my in-laws and our children aged 4 and 6. We loved being within walking distance of the beach (which is one of the most kid-friendly beaches I've ever had the pleasure of visiting) and Night Heron Park, which has a nice playground and lots of bike paths. We were able to get almost everywhere we needed including Freshfields Village or the park via an easy bike ride. The cottage itself is very pretty, newly renovated and peaceful. There was enough room for us to spend time together at meals and get away to the screen porch or bedroom if we needed to rest. The kitchen is really nice and well-stocked with everything we needed and more. The owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with, making the whole experience a breeze. We are already looking forward to our next trip to Kiawah."
