"I surprised my husband for his 30th birthday and took him to Kiawah. The property was beautiful. The Villa was comfortable and it was in the perfect location. We used the amenities such as the on island transportation, the pool and the beach access. The owner was beyond accomodating leading up to our trip. My husband has already asked if we could book another trip to this specific Villa for March and the following fall as well."

"Our family of 5 (including a 19-year-old and 13-year-old twins), enjoyed our summer vacation at this villa. We have visited Kiawah many times, during many different seasons, and this was perhaps our most enjoyable trip yet! The villa itself is so welcoming the moment you walk in, with natural light streaming in the windows from across the lagoon. The colors and decor have a definite beach vibe, and the updated cabinetry and countertops add a touch of elegance. The kitchen is well-stocked, and includes some extras (griddle, crockpot, cookie sheets). Living room recliners are super-comfy, and the dock is a great place for morning coffee. We had the pleasure of entertaining a large alligator (approx. 9 ft. long) several evenings below the dock. There are ample backpack-style beach chairs for your use, although both of the umbrellas were broken when we arrived. There are also boogie boards, skim boards, beach toys, frisbees, and numerous other fun items in the hall closet for your use. The reading library is also great! The close proximity to Night Heron Park/Pool and the beach makes it a perfect location for families. We were able to enjoy a spectacular fireworks display on the Fourth, one from the Sanctuary and one from the park. The twins had a blast at Laser Tag in the park, and we could even sit on the dock and enjoy the live music from there as well. Carol was an absolute joy to work with, and so thoughtful in keeping us up-to-date, both before our vacation and during, about events going on on the island. I can't say enough good things about our visit; we will visit this villa again!"

"This was a weekend rental for my wife and I, along with 2 other couples for a wedding at Kiawah and it worked out perfectly. The whole rental process was very easy and the homeowner was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The house was "as advertised" and we're looking to rent again in the future. Great overall experience! -Justin"

Our Home Away From Home for February, March and April
"This is our fifth year renting from Doug and all I can say is that the house works really well for us. The house is situated in a cul de sac and all along the backside of the house are windows and glass doors that offer stunning views of the marsh. A day doesn’t go by without colorful wildlife flying overhead or deer treckking across the marsh.
The interior of the house is spacious and comfortable. The master bedroom & bath are at one end of the house and the guest bedrooms & bathrooms are located at the other end. This makes it nice for guests to have their privacy and vice versa. The kitchen is a little dated but is complete with all the necessary appliances, dishes, etc. My husband has created his own work area at one end of the master bedroom and finds it comfortable. We used the dinning room once in five years because we prefer to sit in the kitchen-family area where we can enjoy the view and natural light. We have never used the living room. It is just my husband, our yellow lab and myself.
The beach and golf courses are within a five- minute drive. The bike path is less than a minute from the bottom of the driveway. The grocery store and boutiques are a 10-15 minute drive.
Doug has been a great landlord. He is attentive and returns calls in a timely manner to assist in resolving any issues.
We hope to return for a sixth time…!"
