  • What a Great Relaxing Place

"Bruce and Pauline could not have been nicer to work with. Fast response to questions and accommodations. They are terrific hosts. The home is just perfect for the two of us and our little Westie. She got more exercise in a month than she did all year, and she already misses the fun on Kiawah. We fully enjoyed the location and the use of chairs and bikes. Even though we brought our own bikes for the month, our guests came to enjoy those provided by the Listers. The home was not as clean as we would have liked when we arrived, but a quick email to Bruce and Pauline took care of that, and the lady was there quickly to resolve. The house is well stocked with just about everything you need, so just relax and enjoy it. We would certainly return. Thanks for a great stay."

  • Family Holiday

"The house was fabulous for a large group; plenty of seating around the TV's in two separate family rooms. The furnishing were very nice. The kitchen was equipped with anything you needed in the way of preparing food. Far exceeded the normal rental. Plenty of refrigerators and ovens made it great for our large family. Working with Joe was a pleasure. The sleeping arrangements and spaciousness of the house were fabulous!!I understand it is a rental, but there are many things that need sprucing up; painting the interior and exterior; cleaning up the outside; when we arrived no one had attempted to sweep or blow off the decks or porches, which was dangerous for anyone, and especially our elderly grandmother, to be trying to walk on all the acorns and leaves that had fallen. We got the feeling it had not been cleaned in a while. Everyone said their beds were very comfortable, but the sheets on the bed in the 2nd. master, badly need replacing. They did not fit the mattress; kept coming off at the corners, and were of very poor quality(thin). Although I have mentioned the few negatives, the good far outweighs the bad. We would definitely rent it again. It is a great value!!!"

  • Great stay on Kiawah!

"My friends and I had a great time staying at this property! The house was comfortable and "beachy," perfect for a weekend away! We really enjoyed the outdoor spaces - the screened porch in the back is great for morning coffee, and we ate our breakfast outside on the deck. The downstairs bedrooms comfortably slept 4, but the three beds in the upstairs loft area would be great for a larger group or kids. Really liked the extra shower in the laundry room too, for rinsing off after the beach without getting the rest of the house messy. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking at home -- including a working blender. The house is a short walk to the beach, on a quiet street, and very close to bike paths for an easy ride to the tennis centers, ice cream shop, or just for a ride around Kiawah. Short drive from the Freshfields center on Kiawah for groceries etc."

  • Loved Sparrow Pond Cottages

"This was our first trip to Kiawah Island and it couldn't have been more perfect! The cottage is very comfortable. I was 4 months post op knee replacement and the stairs are easy to climb. Once inside, the cottage has everything needed to set up housekeeping. Harris Teeter's delivery was awesome, the Southern Kitchen a great place for breakfast/lunch. Beach is beautiful and the shoreline unspoiled by vendors usually seen at other SC beaches. Only complaint, pool bathroom closest to beach and still a walk if you've really, really gotta go! Need public restrooms closer to beach access."
