"We arrived at the location on Tuesday afternoon. I had emailed in advance with a special request. I had asked Kellie to have birthday cake and ice cream for my father-in-law's birthday. She had purchased the items, and had balloons so when he walked in he was surprised. Thanks Kellie. We enjoyed our stay, and the place was quite comfortable. A relaxing vacation spot. We seriously enjoyed the history of the surrounding areas. Certainly will keep in mind for future visits at Charleston."

  • Family Time

"We had a wonderful week at your house. My kids are 21 and 17 and they loved the location. It was so convenient to walk across the street and drop our kayaks and we also rented Paddle Boards from Charleston Paddler which is right there too. What a beautiful creek and I think we saw the same two dolphins each time we went out. We also enjoyed great bike rides; one day we rode to Sullivans Island and we also rode over The Cooper River Bridge a couple of times. We also enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants. We had dinner at the Mexican place that is in the shopping center on the corner (very good) and we also walked to Page's Okra twice which is an outstanding place to eat. We went into Charleston a few times also which is very easy to get to from the house. We took advantage of the table in the den and did two puzzles while we were there. The house was comfortable and made you feel relaxed which for us was a nice way to end the Summer before the kids went back to school. We were also able to take our dogs and they really enjoyed the back yard (it is huge!) Thanks so much for sharing your home with us."

  • Can't beat it!

"Had to talk my wife into staying here, but she appreciated it once she came. The price is excellent compared to Charleston or Mt. Pleasant prices. It is a very short drive to downtown Charleston, Patriot's Point, or other tourist attractions. There are numerous places to eat nearby, including Charleston's Cafe, two blocks away. Grocery store is three blocks. The cottage itself is clean and nicely decorated, the place is very quiet - no drunks or kids running down the hotel corridor at night! Having the kitchen for several days helps keep vacation dining costs down. Cable TV has many many channels. Bedding was comfortable. Free laundry services available. The property is adequately maintained, not pristine but the outside shows a little wear and tear. Would recommend a stay here."

  • A Wonderful Place to Stay

"My family had the pleasure of staying at this home while visiting Charleston for our daughter's graduation from MUSC. It truly had all the comforts of home. The house is beautifully furnished, very clean and has all the essentials that you could possibly need. My husband was very impressed with the book collection in the library. A lot of thought and care went into the decorating and furnishing of this lovely home! We would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you Larry and Lindsey"
