  • Location . . location

"6 Enclave was the meeting point for our family's reunion this year. Six adults, two young children, and two adult guests spent most of our week on the beach, which is about 100 yards from the house, or relaxing on the deck overlooking the ocean and one hole of the golf course. The community pool is refreshing and a short walk away. The location, the layout of the house, and the furnishings, including a well-stocked kitchen, were perfect for a multi-generational family gathering. The house is not pristine but is very comfortable and conducive for a laid back vacation. The few issues that we encountered, i.e. an empty propane tank and the need for additional towels, were addressed immediately by Wyndham Resort. We appreciated the owner's and the property manager's accessibility and responsiveness. Our only disappointment was lack of access to the water park at Night Heron Park, a benefit that is limited to guests of Kiawah Island Resort. Overall, we had a wonderful week."

  • Comfortable and Prime Location

"We have a little family reunion in IOP every summer. This home was perfect for our needs. It has a large kitchen, with lots of pots and pans, dishes, utensils, etc for our big dinners. Loved the BBQ. Loved the ice maker, it made life so easy. The kids loved the pool. We thought the sun and shade ratio was perfect. Our 16 guests were very comfortable. There were lots of linens and towels. The owners were very responsive before our visit and during, when we had questions. And the location! Walking distance to shopping, bars and restaurants, and the beach...perfect! I would definitely stay here again. But opt for the elevator...whew! all those stairs! Maybe I worked off all that great Southern food. I highly recommend Banana Cabana and Acme Low Country Kitchen for food and drinks and both are in walking distance. We were also able to rent bikes on the island and used Ocean Fitness to rent paddleboards, they delivered and picked them up. We made some wonderful memories, thank you!"

  • Cute place right by the beach!

"I stayed here with my husband and dog and we had a great time. After a 10 1/2 hour overnight drive we were happy to be able to settle into this place. It was cozy, I spent most mornings sitting in the screened-in porch drinking coffee and enjoying the view. From the bedroom you can see the beach and ocean! It's tough finding good pet friendly rentals but this one was great, the pup was relaxed and happy. He loved the rental and the AC kept him comfortable even when the heat index climbed to 110. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed, even a coffee maker which instantly made me love the place. There were also dishes, cups, plates, mugs, pots and pans so you don't need to bring any of that with you. The owner made up a binder of some great things to see and places to eat, we took advantage of the suggestions she had. The rental is a bit of a hike from the center of town, so it's perfect for two people who want to enjoy the quiet part of Folly Island or you can drive 5 minutes and be souvenir shopping in no time. You could also throw a rock (but don't do that, you might hit a passing car or jogger) from the steps of the property and hit the beach access, it's that close. We took advantage of the proximity and went on a few nighttime beach strolls with the dog, it was so nice and quiet! The owner was SO accommodating, she quickly answered any questions I had ahead of time and when I forgot some clothes after we left, she was willing to drop them off at my brother's rental (thankfully he was still there!). That was so nice of her. In conclusion, our stay was wonderful and I would definitely stay there again if we come back to the area!"

  • Folly Beach House

"This house was PERFECT for what we needed. We were looking for a great place for a stay cation (we live in Charleston) and we found it! We wanted an affordable house, with a porch, and beachfront. This fit the bill perfectly. The house is literally ON the beach and with a one year old it was so nice to go in and out with ease. The garage area was nice to hold all our stuff/several cars and they even had a beach umbrella, floats, and chairs for us to use while we were there. There is a coded entrance so you don't have to worry about bringing your key every time you go in and out. There's even an outdoor shower to rinse off before going in. The inside floor plan was open so everyone could visit in the main room/kitchen. We loved being able to wake up to see the sunrise every morning from our window. This side of the beach is very quiet and felt like our own personal beach. There were a few negatives to be aware of, but the positives far outweigh them in my opinion. I kept calling it "beach house" style. There are a lot of little things that could be fixed and it makes the house seem less nice (torn screen, peeled paint, broken rail in fridge, couldn't find a dustpan...) but it's all easily overlooked by the beach! The house wasn't perfect, but it was perfect for us and we would highly recommend!"
