"This cottage was a wonderful place to spend our week long vacation with my parents and our children (ages 1 and 4). The rental is clean and well taken care of with super comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. The beach was an easy bike ride away. We also drove on some occasions to the beach access area. Kiawah did not disappoint! Go out to the beach in the early morning and you can catch the Turtle Patrol in action. We were able to assist them with helping a baby sea turtle make it into the ocean. And at low tide, make sure to try to catch the dolphins strand feeding down in the park area. We had a wonderful trip and the owner is fantastic about helping with suggestions!!"

"The cottage was nice and very clean. The kitchen was lacking pot holders and a medium- large frying pan but otherwise well supplied. I would also suggest that the outside light be tested between rentals. We arrived after dark and the light was burned out. Only a short walk to a beautiful beach. We definitely suggest renting bikes We biked for miles on the many paths ( rented ahead of time from Alligator bikes. Important note - they give you a full weeks rental for their weekly rate ( comes out to 8 days instead of 7 days). This was a lovely cottage on a beautiful Island. Plan to vacation here again in the near future."

"This place was great. Everyone was pleasantly surprised that it was as nice and as big as it was. The pics don't do it justice. Our group was comprised of three married couples and two teenage girls. The girls shared the attached large "apartment" above the garage, and the rest of us had our own bedrooms with spacious bathrooms. The master suite is especially nice and huge.
The walk to the beach is about 15-20 minutes max and takes you through a beautifully manicured neighborhood, across a short bridge over a small lake. The beach is beautiful and frankly, barely populated. If you take a bike it's five minutes from house to beach. Harris Teeter (grocery) is about a10 minute drive and is very well stocked. Turtle Point golf course is a two minute drive, and this home is located on one of its holes (the back deck was good for watching bad golf and one really big alligator).
We spent a week there and thoroughly enjoyed the deck, the small pool (the water somehow remained comfortably cool despite the 95+ degree temps) and huge screened in porch complete with two ceiling fans. We cooked on location every day, breakfast and dinner. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prep pretty much anything. (Of course you bring your own food!) Used the gas grille on three or four occasions.
The home is tastefully decorated with Danish teak furnishings throughout. I highly recommend this home. We had one minor question for Jill the owner and she responded within minutes.
Finally, is this place 100% perfect? No, of course not. It's a home, and as with all homes, there will always be one or two things that can use a little TLC. Did it exceed our expectations? Absolutely. You won't be disappointed. We were glad we found this place!"

"My wife and I and our daughter and 9 year old grandson had a most delightful stay in Joy's lovely villa. It was ALL it was promised to be and more. Everything worked perfectly, the vista of the lagoon was amazing, the easy beach access was perfect. East Beach Market and the Sanctuary were walking distance away! Joy left detailed instructions for every possible contingency. Only Scrooge would complain about such a perfect, idyllic vacation location!"
