  • Daughton Family Reunion

"Perfect family reunion house! Accommodated ages 6 months to 93 yrs. the beach is much less crowded than the rest of IOP. Wonderful to have access to Wild Dunes for baby pool time or out to lunch with the elders."

  • Why stay anywhere else?

"I travel a fair amount for leisure and use VRBO/HomeAway often. I can state without hesitation that my stay at City Centre was the best experience I have had to date. I stayed in the Coastal suite and enjoyed it very much. I saw the other units only on line but they looked fabulous as well andI hope to be able to try all of them in the future. There is a great amount of space with a living room, kitchen and bedroom. The entire place is so nicely decorated and everything was clean and fresh. The bed was very comfortable and the walk in shower with a rainfall shower head was fabulous.I don't think the photos do the Coastal suite justice. Quiet is very important to me especially for sleeping and noise was never an issue. The location was perfect and located so you could go everywhere from there and within walking distance. Rick and Glenda have done a tremendous job, they were extremely helpful and a pleasure to meet. In regards to Charleston this was my first time and I can't wait to go back; what a great town. I traveled there the first week of November so the weather was perfect. I could walk around looking at the architecture and be happy just doing that. I love dining out and had great meals at Hank's (grouper), FIG (amberjack), Raw 167 (oysters and flounder) and the best entree of all at Two Boroughs Larder. I have to explain Two Boroughs Larder a little more. It is in Elliotborough which is in the northwest section of downtown. I had lunch there and felt quite safe; a lot of university students and staff live there. The place looks like a salad and sandwich place but boy the flounder I had was amazing. It usually is trout but they were doing flounder that day and the sauce it was in was exceptional. I did try a couple of well known pizza places D'Allesandro's, Mushroom something but both had bland sauces--so maybe Charleston is not a pizza town. Husk a fine dining establishment was also less than stellar. Finally a great little wine bar with just a few tables was Ohara and Flynn on Meeting street. Believe me I am picky about my lodging and City Centre did not disappoint. Enjoy."

  • unique cottage

"My husband and I and our dog stayed for a week and had a great time. The cottage is well located near the beach and Night Heron Park. It is beautifully decorated with antiques and very clean. The high ceilings really make it feel open and comfortable. Yvette was always easy to reach for any questions and very helpful. The one thing I did miss having was an iPod Dock for music, maybe it was there but didn't find it. We've rented at Kiawah over the past 25 years and this is one cottage that I'd definitely choose to rent again!"
