A wonderful home
"Our family of 7 adults and one baby rented this spacious home and it was all it is advertised to be. Very spacious, plenty of kitchen space and utensils (in fact...there are so many cupboards we couldn't remember from which we had found bowls, etc.) The master bedrooms are wonderful (having a first floor master where the family with a baby could stay...and be away from the rest of us at 5am wakings was a lifesaver)...Upscale furnishings, comfy beds and soft, fluffy towels...We were very happy with these accommodations!..."

"If you want to know how great a vacation home is...rent it during what is now being called the 1,000 year storm! My family checked in on October 3rd, in the middle of the terrible storm/flooding. We considered cancelling, but we had family travelling from North Carolina, Colorado and Wisconsin to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday.
This home did not disappoint! The main road was closed for several days due to flooding, so we were technically "stuck" in the house, but we never felt stuck. We cooked, played games (lots provided in the house), watched football, took naps, and when there was a break in the rain, went swimming in the glorious heated pool and relaxed in the hot tub. While Isle of Palms received well over 20 inches of rain during that storm, this house never lost power or cable.
The elevator was a nice perk for bringing luggage in. There was just so much space that everyone (11 people, ages 2-60) felt like he/she could stretch out and relax. The porches are incredible as are the views. Whoever did the landscaping did a great job to create privacy and quiet. I love that four of the six bedrooms have king-size beds. One interesting quirk is there is no "hall bath"...each bathroom is connected to a bedroom. Each bedroom, along with the two living rooms have a tv. We had some epic Ping-Pong matches in the garage and used the outdoor shower every day on our way back in from the beach.
This house is fully stocked for your beach needs...umbrellas, toys, chairs, but you will need to bring your own beach towels. The kitchen is fully stocked too, although most of the pots/pans are aged and not the best quality, so if you are planning to do major cooking, plan to bring your own pots and pans (that's what we did).
Although this house is not "oceanfront" it is certainly ocean view. I watched the sunrise and sunset each day (after the storm passed!) from the crow's nest. Beautiful and relaxing. I saw dolphins two of the days!!
I would recommend this house without questions and cannot wait to go back. We had the trip of a lifetime!"

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was very happy with the location.
The vacation rental was very clean.
The property manager was very helpful.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Our stay at this rental was great! A terrific experience by all members of my family - young and not so young. Only comment is about the oven - it does not cook food evenly and temperature settings are off. Twice our food was burnt on the outside and not done in the middle. Really could use a new stove at this rental! Everything else was wonderful. Very relaxing 4 days! No one wanted to leave!
Manager responded on 10/19/2015:
We have just received your review. Thank you for sharing your experience. We are so pleased that your family enjoyed the comfort and convenience found at Sunrise, Sunset on Edisto Beach. We will share your feedback regarding the oven with the homeowner(s) who are always interested in enhancing their guest's experiences. We look forward to being your host on Edisto for many seasons to come.

"What a charming little house! From the moment we arrived in the cobbled driveway and walked down the beautifully landscaped oyster shell path to the carriage house, we were at home. Not only is this house quintessential Charleston with its beautiful gardens, stone walls and lovely interior, it also has an excellent location close to everything, but at the same time very quiet and private. It is so comfy and cozy with lots of special little touches and a working fireplace which we put to good use. There is plenty of storage and a well equipped kitchen. The off-street parking and weekly cleaning service are nice extras. And last, but not least, the owners Sallie & Scott are extremely gracious and accommodating hosts. We will be back next year."
