  • Great Vacation!

"The owners were so quick to respond to all questions and were such a pleasure to interact with. I agree with everything the last reviewer said. I will add a few things:this is a two story villa-no people above or below you which is nice. You can park right up to your villa-ample parking. We saw 3 gators right off our deck in the lagoon, which my sons loved. It is a great location, only a 2-3 minute bike ride to the beach (we went through the Disney Beach House, they also have an attached snack bar there with drinks-great pina coladas!) The two hours of free tennis daily was great, no problem booking a court. The Palmetto Dunes Resort was easy to deal with-you are given a key code, so no worries about returning or losing keys. I will definitely plan on returning! Thanks so much! Also-went shark fishing on Outcast charter-highly recommend! My husband caught a 6-7 foot bull shark (he was wiped after that, so he had to stop) and my kids (8 & 11) and I caught at least half a dozen other small sharks. We had an amazing time in Hilton Head and can't wait to come back!!"

  • Always happy

"Again for our 4th year running at this villa and our vacation was tremendous. My wife and I stayed 2 weeks this year and the only problem was we didn't want to go back home. The villa has everything you need, the beach is a short car ride away and the nightlife and restaurants are fabulous. The back patio view of the 11th and 17th holes is beautiful and very relaxing in both the morning coffee time as well as the evening happy hour. We can't wait to come back next year. Lorraine, thanks for letting us into your villa for a little paradise."

  • wonderful condo

"This condo is in a wonderful location in the heart of Palmetto Dunes. It has beautiful views of the ocean, and is close to the terrific tennis center and the General Store. The condo is updated and clean, and the building was generally quiet during our stay. We had a minor problem with the wi-fi which was promptly handled by the owner. This is the second time we have rented a place from Sherry, and we would love to return!"

  • Comfortable condo and great location!

"We love Hilton Head and staying in Palmetto Dunes. We love the convenience of your condo's location to tennis, bike trails, Shelter Cove, shopping, and especially the beach! Your condo was comfortable for our family and kept nicely cleaned. Thank you for allowing us to spend our week at your condo."

Abbington Villas Travel Tips

Abbington Villas Vacation Rentals-Naturally

If you're looking for a peaceful glimpse into the natural beauty of Hilton Head Island, Abbington Villas vacation rentals are a great way to go. Located in the Leamington area of Palmetto Dunes Plantation, each villa is beautifully landscaped and looks out over a placid lagoon. The sharp observer may spot alligators, deer, egrets, storks and all manner of low country flora and fauna right outside the window.

The Lay of the Land on Hilton Head Island

Hilton Head is the largest barrier island off the coast of South Carolina at twelve miles long and five miles wide. Surrounded by white sand beaches and woven through with salt marshes, woodlands and lagoons, it is a haven for nature lovers. With 50 miles of paved roads on the island, you can hop on a bike and see all of it up close and personal, then come back to Abbington Villas beach rentals for a relaxing evening in your own private condo.

Abbington Adventure

Hilton Head Island homesare a great base camp from which to explore the abundant wildlife. Bird watchers will love the Audobon-Newhall preserve which covers 50 acres on the south end of the island. The Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge is just off the northern tip. You can enjoy day trips to all the natural wonders of the island from Abbington Villas vacation rentals.

Down to the Beach

If you prefer, you can simply take a short walk down to the beach, as all the Abbington Villas beach rentals are a stone's throw from the shore. If you're very lucky you might glimpse the endangered loggerhead sea turtle, or more likely, a bottle nose dolphin. These playful visitors are prevalent offshore in the summer months. Marine life and dolphin cruises are offered through several public marinas and the Coastal Discovery Museum located on Honey Horn Drive.
