"We really enjoyed our family vacation in Hilton Head in this wonderful house. It has so much room, and this house made it possible for all 13 of us (including 7 children 11 and under) to stay, sleep, and not be constantly in each other's way the whole week. Being right on the beach was so wonderful, and we could not have asked for a better place to vacation. I would recommend this house to anyone traveling with a large family. Especially one wanting to stay together, and still feel like they have their own space, and be able to be in the sand in about 30 seconds time. Also, the owner, Marc, is kind enough to stock the house with soaps, shampoos, detergents, etc. so those items don't have to be purchased on a grocery run. The kitchen has room for storing items which made fixing breakfast and quick lunches wonderfully easy."

"We had a marvelous week with our two grown children and their families--The home is beautiful and has a great location on the beach--Five bedrooms plus a loft area gave us plenty of room and privacy for anyone who wanted it--The pool was great--Everything in the house was clean and well cared for--Shopping and restaurants were easy to reach--We would happily return for another week--"

"Do not hesitate in booking this home! It is fantastic! Overall, this home has everything it needs and doesn't feel like a vacation house, it feels more like a home. There is plenty of room and a great layout.
Specifically, the pros of this home are:
1) Location: it is close to the beach. This is our second time staying on Rum Row so we knew the walk to the beach was fairly close. Considering we have a three year old and he is able to walk it (and also ride shoulders) it is fairly close. It's a great bike ride. 2) it is clean and has all the needs. I think the only thing the kitchen doesn't have is an electric mixer or a crockpot. Plenty of nice glasses and knives as well, which in my experience has always been where other homes have lacked items. 3) screened in porch: I could spend 90% of vacation in the screened in porch and be amazingly happy. It's large and has great furniture on it. Simply perfect. Great view. Amazingness. 4) the pool and "deck" area. The pool is large, it can accommodate 3-4 full size floats and room to swim/play. There is also a patio under the upper porch that has plenty of space. It's a great place to hide from the sun for a little while but still be part of the action at the pool. Also a great place to store floats and other beach things without feeling like you are leaving them out. 5) the bedrooms are large and comfortable. There are a few firm beds and a few soft so that you can switch rooms if you prefer one over the other. 6) the main space looks nice in the pictures, but it is really nice in person. It has a great layout and is super nice. 7) the upstairs living room is great if others want to watch something different/watch movies etc. it worked out great for us as we had some teens on the trip and they claimed that as their space.
The cons of the house are few and far between! A couple of the biggest things are: 1) no main space bathroom. The bathrooms located on this floor are in the main master and also somewhat attached to the other bedroom on the floor. The "bedroom" sliding door is on the outside of this bathroom so once someone shuts the door, the main space can no longer access this bathroom. One of the bedrooms upstairs also does not have access to a bathroom, so it could be good for kids who don't have to use the restroom a lot through the night but it is hard for anyone else. 2)laundry room access is through the main master bedroom, hard for others to use. 3) grill is small."

"My family has vacationed on HH Island for the past 15 years and have stayed at 6 different properties in Palmetto Dunes. 26 Heath is the best one yet! Beautifully maintained, lots of space for extended family and terrific bonus features like two screened in porches, a heated pool (no extra charge!), bikes and a ping pong table. Patty was an extremely helpful host, checking in before, during and after the stay to make sure everything was as we expected. The location is perfect for golfers, bike riders and beach goers. There is currently an empty lot on one side of the house which ensured quiet neighbors and made it feel like we were staying in the midst of a delightful private jungle. We will certainly book this house for our next stay on HH."
