"We had a family reunion take place at this property. It couldn't have worked out any better. The property and its owners are terrific! Well worth the money."

"Do not hesitate in booking this home! It is fantastic! Overall, this home has everything it needs and doesn't feel like a vacation house, it feels more like a home. There is plenty of room and a great layout.
Specifically, the pros of this home are:
1) Location: it is close to the beach. This is our second time staying on Rum Row so we knew the walk to the beach was fairly close. Considering we have a three year old and he is able to walk it (and also ride shoulders) it is fairly close. It's a great bike ride. 2) it is clean and has all the needs. I think the only thing the kitchen doesn't have is an electric mixer or a crockpot. Plenty of nice glasses and knives as well, which in my experience has always been where other homes have lacked items. 3) screened in porch: I could spend 90% of vacation in the screened in porch and be amazingly happy. It's large and has great furniture on it. Simply perfect. Great view. Amazingness. 4) the pool and "deck" area. The pool is large, it can accommodate 3-4 full size floats and room to swim/play. There is also a patio under the upper porch that has plenty of space. It's a great place to hide from the sun for a little while but still be part of the action at the pool. Also a great place to store floats and other beach things without feeling like you are leaving them out. 5) the bedrooms are large and comfortable. There are a few firm beds and a few soft so that you can switch rooms if you prefer one over the other. 6) the main space looks nice in the pictures, but it is really nice in person. It has a great layout and is super nice. 7) the upstairs living room is great if others want to watch something different/watch movies etc. it worked out great for us as we had some teens on the trip and they claimed that as their space.
The cons of the house are few and far between! A couple of the biggest things are: 1) no main space bathroom. The bathrooms located on this floor are in the main master and also somewhat attached to the other bedroom on the floor. The "bedroom" sliding door is on the outside of this bathroom so once someone shuts the door, the main space can no longer access this bathroom. One of the bedrooms upstairs also does not have access to a bathroom, so it could be good for kids who don't have to use the restroom a lot through the night but it is hard for anyone else. 2)laundry room access is through the main master bedroom, hard for others to use. 3) grill is small."

"After spending a beautiful week at this lovely home we have decided to reserve it again for next year. We have been visiting HHI for 36 years as a group and have stayed all over the island and decided that this lovely home finally met all of our needs. Although some of the gals suggested that a few of the bedrooms needed more drawer space for clothing everything else was perfect. Very well equipped and beach towels a plus. Have never had this amenity before. Nice feature. Also closer to the beach than some of our beachfront homes. Two lower bedrooms on left of front door seemed warmer than others. Couldn't figure out? Maybe vents weren't all the way opened? Thanks so very much for such a lovely home and place to relax and catch up with our friends of more than 60 years. With 10 girlfriends we were able to spread out and enjoy the entire house. Ping pong table and lower level for a great cookout. Easy walk to the beach and even Coco's on the beach isn't so far. Pool is refreshing after a day at the beach. We loved everything, especially the 7 bedrooms and 7 1/2 baths plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. We've been everywhere this is the best! Thanks."

"My family came for a week of relaxation and a friend's beach wedding. Sharon described her home perfectly and it was a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for everyone to gather together and plenty of room for privacy. House was clean and well stocked. Kitchen is amazing. Everything you could need. Pool area was the best. Enough shade so you didn't get burnt to a crisp with the sun and enough sun to warm the pool water perfectly. Palmetto Dunes is a great area that is centrally located with easy access to everything. Would stay here again!! Thanks Sharon."
