"My wife and I had the please to stay at your Villa for 2 months. We have been coming to HHI for 16 years and are well acquainted with the Island. The location of the Villa is excellent, overlooking the golf course and close to everything else on the Island. The Villa was well equipped and ready to move in. The beds are comfortable (very important to me) and the Villa is best described as homey and comfortable. The communication with the owner was outstanding and is wonderful to work with. I look forward to returning to this Villa in the future, and would not hesitate recommending it to anyone else. Thank you Carolyn!!"Guest: Joe Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: March 30, 2014View listing
"We had a wonderful time! It was our first time staying in Hilton Head and had no problem getting around in the area. The resort's security where the condo is housed were very helpful and friendly. The beach was maybe a 5 minute walk from the front door of the condo. It's definitely not your typical beach though. It's not your lay out in the sun type of beach...so we would just walk that beach sometimes. For the lay out in the sun type of beach we travelled to Coligny and Folly Field beaches a couple times during our stay which were both short drives. We preferred Folly Field since we could park a lot closer to the beach and it also wasn't as crowded as Coligny. We actually laid out in the sun by the pool for a few days...it was only a 2-3 minute walk from the condo door. Barbera was super helpful and very communicative as soon as we arrived. She gave us some helpful info and tips. No real downsides to the place as we we're very happy with the rental."Guest: Kevin & Whitney Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 16, 2014View listing
"My family of four (kids ages 9 and 4) stayed at this condo for a last "treat" vacation before the start of school. The condo is very well-decorated and tasteful. It is very clean as well, except that the prior renter had smoked (against owner's rules); luckily that dissipated after a few days, and the owner was proactive about preventing a future occurrence. The condo does not include any extras like garbage bags, saran wrap, toilet paper, paper towels, or much left over from prior renters, so bring those along or purchase. Although we were aware that the beach was near a nature preserve and was unique, we weren't prepared that it is not a typical sunning or swimming beach. There are no waves (it is the sound). It has sea grass, rocks, driftwood and lots of animal life. It is gorgeous in its natural beauty - we saw lots of shells and sand dollars, herons, egrets, fiddler, hermit and sand crabs, pelicans, and dolphins! At low tide, the beach area is very muddy (silt) and buggy - bring old or washable shoes and insect repellant when exploring. The kids (ages 9 and 4) thought it was very cool and loved to explore this unique beach area, which we happily did each day. However, if you want to swim and sun, boogie board, kick a soccer ball or do any other typical "beach" activities, you will need to drive to Folly Beach (5 mins) or another public beach on the island. We did that each day, packed a cooler and did not mind it. You do have to pay $1 an hour to park at the public beaches. Overall, it was a very nice experience, just different than we had anticipated. If you understand the unique beach area of this complex in advance, you will be perfectly happy with your stay."Guest: Jeanette D. "Our stay at Lyons 8 was perfect for our vacation! We came with extended family (10 people and 3 babies) and could all stay in the same house, which was great! The house was spacious and perfect for a beach vacation. Appliances and furniture and bedrooms are very nice and up to date. It was perfect to have a pool that was more private and right outside the condo, along with short walk to a public beach access (with a playground and bathrooms). We enjoyed hanging out all together in the living room and on the front porch in the evenings. We have been coming to Hilton Head for years and this is the best location an condo that we have ever stayed it. Defiantly would recommend it for all types of families or other groups. We loved our stay and will be coming back next year!"Guest: Amanda and Jonathan Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: August 29, 2014View listing
