  • In the words of our oldest daughter, "The best vacation ever"!

"Staying at a VRBO rental house with our two daughters, their husbands, and our four grandchildren was absolutely wonderful! The house is so clean, as well as the pool and yard. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out, and we still didn't use all of the beds. The house is lovely, and we had everything we needed. Plenty of towels, comfortable beds, truly all the amenities of being at our own home. The listing is very accurate in it's description and photos. The walk to the beach was perfect! About a block away down a little sidewalk in between houses, and you never have to walk on a road. The pool was perfect for our little crowd! The oldest granddaughter learned to swim :) The area where we stayed was fabulous. You never have to get in a car unless you want to. We rented bikes with little bikes attached, baby seats, etc. They delivered them to the house and picked them up. So much fun to ride to town for ice cream and restaurants for dinner. The place is gorgeous with huge trees, Spanish Moss, a beach that will rival anything Florida has to offer. Working with the owners was so easy and a great experience. We really appreciate the way they take care of the property. The people at the vacation rentals place were so enthusiastic and helpful when we picked up the keys and dropped them off. The air in two of the rooms was not working quite right, and someone showed up to fix it within a couple of hours. Great service! It was a beautiful house for a beautiful vacation!!"

  • Cannot Recommend Highly Enough!

"We were a group of "older" girlfriends, coming to Hilton Head for our favorite activities….eating and thrift store shopping!! (Did you know that Hilton Head is the thrift store capital of the world?!) 43 Lighthouse Rd is one of the few condos in the area that is one level (no one over you) and is an end unit. The unit next door is owned by 6 older couples who rotate their time there, so I doubt there is ever much noise to annoy anyone staying at #43. This unit is decorated in the exact style I would do it in myself! Love, love, LOVE it!! A bottle of wine on the table on arrival is a welcome site and something that helps put this place "a step above". It sits on Hole #11 of the Ocean Course of the Sea Pines Resort. It's a par 3, if you're interested. There is a beautiful sunroom from which you can watch the golfers, or there are two Adirondack chairs outside, as well as two loungers. You can walk the course after 8pm in the evenings, which is a bonus. Two bikes are included in the rental of #43 and there are miles and miles of bike trails. It was definitely one of our favorite activities. This condo is not "on the beach" by any stretch, but if you don't mind a healthy 12 minute walk to get there, that's not an issue. We loved walking to the beach to watch the sunset. There is a very well stocked kitchen and plenty of dishes, flatware and glasses. The basic soaps and paper towels are provided for you, which we very much appreciated. The beds are comfortable and there is a TON of closet and drawer space! Plenty of hangers are provided. Can you tell that we really loved this place? If I can think of any negative, it would be that the bathrooms could stand to be updated and there are some stains on the carpets, but really….I'm splitting hairs, here! I'd hate for this place to get so busy that I can't come back, but honestly, I can't imagine anyone not being happy in this unit. THANK YOU!!!"

  • Wonderful House and Neighborhood

"We were very happy with our choice of get-away. The house was well equipped with everything one would need.- bedding, towels, kitchen and storage area. Carla, the owner was very helpful whenever we talked and followed up after we arrived. The house is well maintained and furnished perfectly for a vacationers needs. There were DVD's and books for your use. The fenced in yard was very handy for the dogs, but there were many nice places to take them for walks right from the house. The neighborhood was very friendly and convenient to the bike paths, beach, Sea Pine Center and Harbor Town. I would highly recommend this property to others. We look forward to our return next year."

  • Great House!

"This was the second year in a row that we stayed here. It is such a great house and is perfect for our 2 families. We had 5 kids and 4 adults (ages 5, 2, and 15); the 15 year old was happy to have his own room in the office's pull out couch. The beach is close and not crowded. It was great to have chairs and beach toys/gear available. We'll be back again!"
