  • Great Home!!

"We have rented many beach houses at various beaches and this was by far the best home we have ever rented. We vacationed with our three grown children and their spouses, two grandchildren (2&3) and my son's dog. The layout of the home could not be better. My husband and I both have knee issues so we used the Master on the first floor and avoided the stairs. Each of my children and their families had their own space and bathroom. It was also nice to have the half bath in the laundry room. The house was very clean when we arrived and the kitchen is amazing--beautiful, clean and amazingly well stocked. It was so easy to cook in the kitchen. We had everything we needed and more. The house is very accessible to the beach and the beach was great--not crowded at all. The children loved it. To me the best part of the house was the pool and the outside deck area. There was plenty of seating and we ate most meals out there. The past three beach houses we rented had pools which we never used but we used this pool constantly. Did not have it heated but did not need to. The water temperature was very comfortable. Ate most meals at the house because of the children but we did enjoy dinner one evening at the Skull Creek Boathouse Restaurant. Go sit outside and enjoy the sunset--amazing. A former neighbor who now lives in Hilton Head recommended it. We shopped at Piggly Wiggly/Publix- both very convenient and well stocked. We also went to Harbour Town one evening and ate at the Crazy Crab. It was good but I would recommend finding places where you can sit outside on the water. Next year I would like to rent bikes. This house is so well located that you can bike all over. We definitely plan to return next year and I hope that we will be able to stay longer. Our schedules this year did not permit a longer stay but there is so much to do on Hilton Head for famiies and, as the children get older, I want to take advantage of more opportunities. We used to come to Hilton Head every summer but have not been in twenty years. It was just like I remembered it. Rent this house and you will not be sorry. You will have a great time whether you want to bike all over the islant, lounge by the pool with a Mimosa in hand, or read on the beach. The only complaints I had were minor housekeeping ones that were adressed by the rental company. Be sure to get up in the AM and head to the beach for sunrise. They are spectacular!!"

  • 3 beautiful months out of snow

"We spent our winter (3months) in this condo. Loved every minute of it. It was a great location on the island. We had some company and plenty of room. Everyone was comfortably. We will be staying again in 2014 for two months. Everything about the condo was great.i"

  • Highly recommend

"The pictures and description of this property are accurate and I agree 100% with all of the other reviews. My family of four was very comfortable in this spacious villa. Was very fresh and clean when we arrived, the cleaning service does a great job. Wendover Dunes is so quiet and peaceful. If walking 5 minutes to the beach is the price I have to pay for peace and quiet, I will pay it every time. The activities we enjoyed the most were, going to the beach, swimming at the pool, lots of fun biking all over the island, boat ride to vanishing island and dolphin watching, hiking in Sea Pines forest preserve, and hiking in Pinckney island. Shelter Cove, Harbor Town, and South Beach are worth going to, but my least favorite part of the trip. (I prefer activity over shopping/dining) On the drive to Hilton Head I asked my kids if they predict they will be home-sick at the end of the vacation OR want to stay. (got mixed answers) On the last day of vacation I asked them again and they both said they would want to stay. Truly felt like a home away from home for my whole family. It was our first trip to Hilton Head. (I predict the first of many)"

Family Getaways at Hilton Head Island Rentals

Hilton Head, South Carolina has one of the top 10 United States beaches for families. Hilton Head Island rentals are great for family vacations or romantic getaways. Traditionally, Hilton Head beach houses have been for the more affluent visitors; however, in the last few years Hilton Head Island resorts have become more affordable.

Hilton Head Island Lodging Close to Top Restaurants

Hilton Head is 12 miles by five miles wide, but it packs a great deal of fun into that tiny space. Despite Hilton Head Island lodging offering fully equipped kitchens and comfortable dining space, you may find the 250 nearby restaurants are too tempting. Dining options outside of Hilton Head Island resorts include Caribbean, Greek, French, Italian, Japanese, German, Chinese, Mexican, American, and Thai fares. You also have the chance to catch your own fresh seafood such as shrimp, blue crab, or oysters if you would rather cook your own meals at Hilton Head Island rentals.

Luxury Golfing by Hilton Head Island Resorts

Looking for a golf vacation? You will no longer have to look if you decide on Hilton Head Island resorts, where you have 24 different golf courses to play on. Many of the golf courses have been designed by top architects in the golfing world, adding to the experience. The children and your spouse can head over to the 200 hundred stores and outlets available close to Hilton Head Island lodging. When you are looking for a unique souvenir from Hilton Head, these shops will provide you with plenty of options.

Hilton Head Island Rentals for Archeology and Marine Extravaganzas

Before you head to the beach, consider taking a detour from Hilton Head Island rentals to the Coastal Discovery Museum. This museum gives you a clear picture of Hilton Head’s marine, animal, and plant life. The archeology and ecology of the area are discussed in the displays, which allows you a better experience when diving, snorkeling, or boating along the island coast.
