  • Charming Little Cottage

"Very charming little cottage. Great location on the island. Right next to Marshside Momma's and the public docks. Cottage was clean and well furnished. Catherine was amazing. She answered all the questions I had and helped me out with a number of tips and general information. Very pleased with our stay."

  • Exactly as expected --- good value

"We truly enjoyed our stay. This island is not as developed as some others that we have visited and that was part of it's charm. The house was clean and in great shape upon our arrival. Short walk to the one of the beaches and about one block to the Melrose Beach Club which provided a great pool and food service. Owner's were helpful to provide data in advance about a private boat service to get us on and off the island on our schedule, golf cart options (absolutely necessary), and information on the few restaurants that are available. It was a good place for our family to slow down and spend time together, read books, and reconnect."

Daufuskie Island Travel Tips

Daufuskie Island Vacation Rentals Are Your Gateway to Relaxation

Take the family and escape the hustle and bustle of life on the mainland with Daufuskie Island vacation rentals. There's no bridge to the island, so you know you're heading somewhere special when you board the ferry from the neighbor to the north, Hilton Head. Float across the water to a land that's a natural wonder steeped in history and full of modern attractions like golf, tennis and spas.

Set Your Own Schedule

When booking Daufuskie island lodging just skip the overpriced and busy resorts and get everyone settled into one of the spacious Daufuskie Island vacation rentals. The privacy and flexibility of a rental home allows you to truly make your vacation experience your own

Enjoy World Class Golf

For a small island (only 5 miles long) there are a lot of options for golfers. The beauty of staying in Daufuskie Island vacation rentals is you are within just a few minutes of not one, but four competition class golf courses. Bring your clubs and test your skills at Bloody Point Golf Course, Melrose Club Golf Course, The Calibogue and The Osprey at Haig Point Club.

Tour the Rich History and Natural Wonders

As an alternative to Hilton Head Island Area resort rentals, choosing one of the Daufuskie Island vacation rentals puts you up close with the history and natural environment of this beautiful island. Looking for adventure? Delve deeper by renting bicycles or golf carts... and grab a map! Experience first hand the wildlife around the marshes and lagoon areas and tour historical landmarks like the original Gullah Houses, the Bloody Point light house and a 100 year old First Union African Baptist Church – still in use today. Make your vacation on Daufuskie Island your own, and make memories.
