  • Pictures do not do it justice!

"My family and I have rented properties for years in different areas, and this is honestly the nicest rental we have ever been in! The place is huge and so much more beautiful than the pictures show. The living/dining area is the best, with a high ceiling and wide open space. The kitchen is also beautiful, with granite countertops and really nice ceramic tile. The fridge is huge and the oven with ceramic top is in perfect condition. The kitchen was also better stocked than any rental I've been in, complete with tons of spices for cooking. We brought our dogs with, and that, too, was incredibly accomodating for them. The fenced-in backyard was massive - it's probably twice the size of my own backyard. We also found 2 doggie beds under the master bed, which they loved. Plus, when we arrived there was a basket of dog toys just waiting for them to play with. How sweet was that! The closets were stocked with everything you could possibly need, including tons of toilet paper, a first aid kit, a dozen bars of soap, a heating pad, and even an extra toothbrush! Then, there was the 2-car garage complete with door opener to use while you're here. The garage was also huge, and even had extra paper supplies out there if you needed them. Oh, and the master bed - it was one of the most comfortable I've ever been in! I simply cannot say enough about this place. The owners obviously care about making their guests comfortable and accomodated, and giving them a home away from home. Also, the home is located within an easy walking distance to the recreation center, which has a lovely indoor and outdoor pool, a ping pong table, tennis courts, and even a small bowling alley. Just be aware, though, that you do have to pay a $3/person/day fee for use of the facilities, plus extra for tennis and/or bowling. The town of Abbeville is very quaint and has some cute shops - about 30 min away. There are some great hiking/biking trails in the state parks which surround the area. The town of McCormick (where the home is located) is very small but has some small restaurants and stores, including a Food Lion. And you have to try Michelle's Pizza in the middle of town - absolutely the best pizza I've tried in a long time! All in all, this is simply the best rental I've ever been to. I can't even believe it was so reasonable for all that it offers. I highly recommend!"

  • Excellent Weekend

"We had a great time Labor Day weekend on the lake! The house was clean and had everything we needed. We caught lots of fish from the main channel dock and the view from the decks and porch was fantastic! The property owner was amazing and everything was as she said it would be. We will definitely be coming back to stay! Thanks again!"

  • Nice folks!

"My family was scheduled to stay in this home over the Thanksgiving holidays. Unfortunately, we had several last minute changes to our schedule due to illness and death in the family. Eric was very accommodating, though undoubtedly busy with his own family's holiday planning, to our changing needs. Thank you, Eric and family, for your kindness and compassion to my family during our loss."

Reaching Central South Carolina Lake Rentals

If you fly into South Carolina, you could arrive at Columbia which is in the center of the state. From Columbia, you would take Highway 20 to reach the vacation rentals of Aiken, Lake Murray, Abbeville, Lake Greenwood or Lexington. Then from this major highway, you would get on a smaller state road such as 25 or 221. These roads bring you close to Sumter National Forest. If you use Highway 26 out of Columbia going southeast, you will find the VRBO rentals in Lake Marion, Lake Moultrie, or Santee which can also be reached by using Interstate 95. You could even follow Interstate 26 into Charleston for a day trip.

Theater, Watersports and Horses Await Guests of Central South Carolina Lodging

Opera fans can visit the historic Abbeville Opera House that was built in 1908 in the Town Square. The theater has been restored and offers a broad range of performances so that you can enjoy an evening out from your Central South Carolina lodging. If Aiken, South Carolina interests you, there is a thoroughbred race track for you to visit. Polo is played at the track and you can enjoy watching the horses train for races. If you want to go riding, there are bridle or carriage paths that wind through Hitchcock Woods.

About 17 miles south of Aiken is a Living History Park that features buildings of the 18th century as well as a natural spring. You can bring a picnic lunch from your comfortable house as the park is open every day from dawn to dusk. Of course, nothing compares to beating the heat of a South Carolina summer like a dip in the many lakes that are in the area. You will find your luxury lake house has its own dock for you to relax on or park your boat next to. When you are ready to book your vacation, you can inquire from the owner if your rental will have kayaks, canoes, or other watersports equipment as some of them do. This only enhances the vacation experience when you can just walk down to the lake and splash to your heart’s delight.
