  • Great Fishing trip

"Everything was great about this home on the lake. The house is laid out perfectly and very comfortable from the linens, furniture, pots and pans to the dock that easily accommodated three boats. We plan to vacation there next year!"

  • Pictures do not do it justice!

"My family and I have rented properties for years in different areas, and this is honestly the nicest rental we have ever been in! The place is huge and so much more beautiful than the pictures show. The living/dining area is the best, with a high ceiling and wide open space. The kitchen is also beautiful, with granite countertops and really nice ceramic tile. The fridge is huge and the oven with ceramic top is in perfect condition. The kitchen was also better stocked than any rental I've been in, complete with tons of spices for cooking. We brought our dogs with, and that, too, was incredibly accomodating for them. The fenced-in backyard was massive - it's probably twice the size of my own backyard. We also found 2 doggie beds under the master bed, which they loved. Plus, when we arrived there was a basket of dog toys just waiting for them to play with. How sweet was that! The closets were stocked with everything you could possibly need, including tons of toilet paper, a first aid kit, a dozen bars of soap, a heating pad, and even an extra toothbrush! Then, there was the 2-car garage complete with door opener to use while you're here. The garage was also huge, and even had extra paper supplies out there if you needed them. Oh, and the master bed - it was one of the most comfortable I've ever been in! I simply cannot say enough about this place. The owners obviously care about making their guests comfortable and accomodated, and giving them a home away from home. Also, the home is located within an easy walking distance to the recreation center, which has a lovely indoor and outdoor pool, a ping pong table, tennis courts, and even a small bowling alley. Just be aware, though, that you do have to pay a $3/person/day fee for use of the facilities, plus extra for tennis and/or bowling. The town of Abbeville is very quaint and has some cute shops - about 30 min away. There are some great hiking/biking trails in the state parks which surround the area. The town of McCormick (where the home is located) is very small but has some small restaurants and stores, including a Food Lion. And you have to try Michelle's Pizza in the middle of town - absolutely the best pizza I've tried in a long time! All in all, this is simply the best rental I've ever been to. I can't even believe it was so reasonable for all that it offers. I highly recommend!"

  • A Hidden Gem

"We visited Columbia to celebrate the Basic Training Graduation at Fort Jackson of our daughter. We are so proud of her. This house is about 35 minutes from the base and provided us a very peaceful place to rest after busy days in and around Ft. Jackson. There was plenty of room, with the 2 large bedrooms and the 1 small room which was perfect for our other daughter. It has a very antique feel about it, very charming and comfortable. The WIFI is very good and the appliances were as expected. Additionally, there is a boat and everything necessary; but unfortunately for us we were either busy running around or it was raining so we were not able to take advantage of this perk. The owner is very pleasant to deal with and very accommodating providing fresh linens and towels for our stay. There are shops very close by (Walmart, Food Lion) and I found the coolest little library -- which I needed to print out some paperwork for our trip into Ft. Jackson. My father who has an artificial leg and walks with the aid of a walker found this home very easy to navigate -- entering and exiting was a bit of a challenge; but all in all it worked out great for us."

"This condo was excellent. We were very surprised that the condo looked exactly like the pictures posted. The home is cozy and very clean. The balcony has awesome views which allows you to look out over the pool and lake area privately. We really enjoyed our stay and we would recommend this condo to our friends and family. We will be back next year."
