"First of all...the owners were responsive on any/all issues as well as compassionate and forgiving. When we found out that the owners have multiple properties we feared that any issues would not be quickly addressed (not true) or that when we had a miss-hap that there would be no leniency (also not true).
The lake was great and although we failed to catch any fish, that was not the focus of our time. We spent most of our time on the watercraft and swimming in the cove. We did not have the best weather, but that's mother nature. The cove remained quiet and perfectly suited to just hang out. The fire pit was actually the highlight for our two boys (10 years old and under). Having the large deck and dock will keep you busy outside. The wifi was strong and quick. Television stations were plentiful. Kitchen was well stocked and we didn't want for anything. Everything worked as it should have. The selection of kayaks plus jet ski and pontoon left us feeling like we conquered Lake Murray (we also brought our own floats and inflatables).
Would not have changed our trip but good to know:
1. It's a good distance to the water from the house. There is a gravel driveway that will get you down there if you must drive. It is a bit of a grade but we had no problem walking it multiple times a day. When we had a full cooler or day's worth of supplies, we were happy to have a car option to help carry the load.
2. If you plan to spend most of your time inside, the couches aren't the most comfortable and the living room could get cramped if you have a full house. This was not an issue for us...we only had 2 adults/2 kids there full time and 2 add'l adults part time. Besides, we were there for the lake and were only inside when it rained or when we were exhausted. (all the other rooms were plenty big even if you were at capacity)
3. Gasoline for the watercraft. Let me be clear, the owners provide high-end gas cans which provides you an opportunity to save money by being self-service. The gas station is close so the drive is not an issue. All that being said, you will be surprised how much gas is used having fun! Multiple trips take a lot of work, the gas cans are tricky to operate alone and when it is all done you may wish you just pulled into a marina and paid someone else."

"Wow! We rented this property this past weekend for a fun weekend with friends. We were pleasantly surprised when we showed up and realized that the online pictures do not depict how great this place is. So nice to have a bright dock light for late night fishing and a covered area to hang outdoors if rain sneaks up on you. They have everything you can think of utensil wise. The beds were very comfortable and rooms are spacious. We loved the outdoor speakers and the grill was new and easy to use. Great fishing! We plan to return soon!"

"This is a charming little cottage on Lake Murray. We chose this place due to it's location. Our son was in the FLW National Collegiate Fishing Tournament last week. The house is located relatively close to the boat launch. There was plenty of room for 4 adults. It was fully loaded with all necessary amenities including WIFI. The house was very clean and we were quite comfortable. The owner was quick with response to any questions I had and was very pleasant to work with. I would definitely recommend this cozy little lake house!"

"Three generations of my family just spent the Thanksgiving holiday in this wonderful find! The house is huge and perfect for a large crowd. Our teenagers enjoyed the basement's den, bunk room, and pool table while the adults enjoyed the main floor's sitting area and spacious kitchen. The beds were very comfortable; bathrooms were spacious and up-to-date; kitchen was well-furnished and spacious; there were plenty of tvs, linens, towels, chairs, etc. Heat worked great and the owner was very, very responsive. It's located in a rural but pretty area and anything you want is about 30 minutes away in Evans, GA. We often rent through VRBO and were so delighted with this house! It's quite a deal."
