  • Great week at the Lake

"First of all...the owners were responsive on any/all issues as well as compassionate and forgiving. When we found out that the owners have multiple properties we feared that any issues would not be quickly addressed (not true) or that when we had a miss-hap that there would be no leniency (also not true). The lake was great and although we failed to catch any fish, that was not the focus of our time. We spent most of our time on the watercraft and swimming in the cove. We did not have the best weather, but that's mother nature. The cove remained quiet and perfectly suited to just hang out. The fire pit was actually the highlight for our two boys (10 years old and under). Having the large deck and dock will keep you busy outside. The wifi was strong and quick. Television stations were plentiful. Kitchen was well stocked and we didn't want for anything. Everything worked as it should have. The selection of kayaks plus jet ski and pontoon left us feeling like we conquered Lake Murray (we also brought our own floats and inflatables). Would not have changed our trip but good to know: 1. It's a good distance to the water from the house. There is a gravel driveway that will get you down there if you must drive. It is a bit of a grade but we had no problem walking it multiple times a day. When we had a full cooler or day's worth of supplies, we were happy to have a car option to help carry the load. 2. If you plan to spend most of your time inside, the couches aren't the most comfortable and the living room could get cramped if you have a full house. This was not an issue for us...we only had 2 adults/2 kids there full time and 2 add'l adults part time. Besides, we were there for the lake and were only inside when it rained or when we were exhausted. (all the other rooms were plenty big even if you were at capacity) 3. Gasoline for the watercraft. Let me be clear, the owners provide high-end gas cans which provides you an opportunity to save money by being self-service. The gas station is close so the drive is not an issue. All that being said, you will be surprised how much gas is used having fun! Multiple trips take a lot of work, the gas cans are tricky to operate alone and when it is all done you may wish you just pulled into a marina and paid someone else."

  • Perfect place for family gathering

"We were celebrating the 90th birthday of our dad who lives in Columbia over Thanksgiving. Even this time of year was nice. House is located in an absolutely beautiful setting on Lake Murray! It would be even better with warm weather for swimming and boating. We asked for fire wood, and a local man delivered a ton of it right at our door! The pictures on the website do not do it justice. The great room is much larger than it looks, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silverware and cooking items for our crowd of 18 for Thanksgiving dinner. 9 of us stayed there. Beds for 8 of us, and a comfortable rollaway for the 9th person. Our overflow stayed at the Wingate, just 10 minutes away. Would be a great place for a family vacation, reunion, wedding gathering, University of South Carolina graduation or Gamecock game weekend. We would go there again!"

  • Perfect Spot

"Great cottage on Lake Murray. Close enough to town if you want to venture in for a bite to eat or shop but far enough away to enjoy lake living. The location was great for kayaking as well. The house is located on a quiet part of the lake or if you want you can kayak out to more 'action'. The owner was great to work with from the very first contact."

  • Amazing Lake House

"Wow! Just wow! This house is amazing. The house is exactly as it looks in the pics. Very clean. Even the grills were spotless....I know that may sound insignificant but we have stayed at many, many Homeaway and VRBO rentals and this one was by far the cleanest. Lake Murray was soooooo nice and so big. The view from the house and dock have such big water views that you feel like your on the coast. The lawn was mowed and well kept. The house had everything you need except towels (bring your own). It has a well-appointed kitchen. Now to the good stuff........the WATER!! It felt like bath water and was very clear. The kids spent their days swimming and jumping off the dock, floating on rafts and squirting each other with water guns. The adults took turns kayaking out to the many islands the lake has. Wow, what an experience! Upon rowing up to one of the islands all the birds started calling to each other. It was pretty cool I must say. So much wildlife there!! All in all one of the best vacations we've ever had. We will return. We are already planning our next trip! Thank you so much Adam and Kim for sharing your peace of heaven. You guys were such a pleasure to work with."
