  • Great week at the Lake

"First of all...the owners were responsive on any/all issues as well as compassionate and forgiving. When we found out that the owners have multiple properties we feared that any issues would not be quickly addressed (not true) or that when we had a miss-hap that there would be no leniency (also not true). The lake was great and although we failed to catch any fish, that was not the focus of our time. We spent most of our time on the watercraft and swimming in the cove. We did not have the best weather, but that's mother nature. The cove remained quiet and perfectly suited to just hang out. The fire pit was actually the highlight for our two boys (10 years old and under). Having the large deck and dock will keep you busy outside. The wifi was strong and quick. Television stations were plentiful. Kitchen was well stocked and we didn't want for anything. Everything worked as it should have. The selection of kayaks plus jet ski and pontoon left us feeling like we conquered Lake Murray (we also brought our own floats and inflatables). Would not have changed our trip but good to know: 1. It's a good distance to the water from the house. There is a gravel driveway that will get you down there if you must drive. It is a bit of a grade but we had no problem walking it multiple times a day. When we had a full cooler or day's worth of supplies, we were happy to have a car option to help carry the load. 2. If you plan to spend most of your time inside, the couches aren't the most comfortable and the living room could get cramped if you have a full house. This was not an issue for us...we only had 2 adults/2 kids there full time and 2 add'l adults part time. Besides, we were there for the lake and were only inside when it rained or when we were exhausted. (all the other rooms were plenty big even if you were at capacity) 3. Gasoline for the watercraft. Let me be clear, the owners provide high-end gas cans which provides you an opportunity to save money by being self-service. The gas station is close so the drive is not an issue. All that being said, you will be surprised how much gas is used having fun! Multiple trips take a lot of work, the gas cans are tricky to operate alone and when it is all done you may wish you just pulled into a marina and paid someone else."

  • last minute getaway

"The condo exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful, very spacious, and very clean. It was very relaxing and quiet with easy access to the docks and the pool which had an amazing view and wasn't overcrowded. Chris was very nice and down to earth. He gave us some pointers on where to fish and a local place to eat. We will definitely be going back as soon as we can!"

  • Vastly Exceeded Expectations!!!

"There are not enough available characters in this text box to adequately describe how absolutely wonderful our experience was at "Serenity on Lake Wylie"! We were in search of a home-away-from-home type feel for our trip to SC and we got the first class treatment all the way! The house was immaculately clean and prepped for us before our arrival. The house had all the amenities we could possibly ask for and then some. Fully stocked with everything we would have had in our own house. The instruction BOOK that was in the house for our use was PERFECT for all of those "what now?" moments you always have in a new house. The views from and feel of the house was absolutely splendid. More often than not I found myself just walking around smiling in disbelief that we landed in such a perfect and quiet spot to unwind and relax. Swimming in the lake daily and fishing off the dock any time we felt like were some of the simple pleasures we indulged in during our stay. If I had but one regret during our trip it was not renting a boat of our own so that we could have gone out and explored the lake. The row boat however was a fun substitute! Stacie was a wonderfully accommodating host every step of the way for us. Helping to plan out our stay and guiding us through the logistics of being new to the area and the VRBO process. Especially in our last minute need to bring our pup after not being able to find a dog sitter. Our pup really did have the time of her life running around the spacious yard and splashing in and out of lake at every opportunity! I honestly think our pup might have enjoyed the trip more than us!!! I highly recommend "Serenity at Lake Wylie" to anyone looking for a place to stay in or around the Rock Hill area for either business or pleasure! It was the most delightfully relaxing and easy trip we have ever taken and I desperately hope we have another opportunity to return soon!!"

  • Great Value

"My wife, 3 dogs and me needed a furnished place to stay after a hot water tank damaged our home, requiring 3 week of repairs. Property owner was very easy to work with and accommodating for our dogs. Promptly received our deposit back after we checked out. The home is a great value. It has good living spaces, all the cooking utensils and appliances you would need while you're away from home. The location is beautiful: right on the lake on a quiet street out in the country. If you're looking to get away in the Midlands of South Carolina I would recommend this property. If you are wanting to spend a significant amount of time in Columbia keep in mind it is a 45 minute drive to downtown. But if you want to be away from hustle, this is the property for you."
