Anything you can do on Fripp Island, you can do at Captain John Fripp Villas. The Marina, the nature, the golfing, the hiking, the animals, the plant life, the shopping are all easily available to you. What makes John Fripp Villas unique is that, unlike Fripp Island's resorts or hotels, the villas are like homes, allowing you to feel like you are actually living in Fripp Island, rather than staying there for a pleasant week away.

Who Was Captain John Fripp?

Captain John Fripp was a privateer in the British Royal Navy in the 17th century. King Charles II granted Captain John Fripp a tract of land in one of the colonies (that eventually became Fripp Island) as price for his for legendary sea ventures. Although the dating of the grant has become subject to some controversy, some claim to have seen the physical document giving the land to Fripp and his family. He, and his family, settled there after 1682 and remain a presence there today.
