  • Amazing Property!

"This was our third year vacationing on Fripp Island and our second year staying in this house. My family (parents, brothers, sisters, their spouses, and children) absolutely love this house. It comfortably slept all 15 of us!! The home was spacious and very clean. The living/dining area is large enough and has enough seating so that everyone could comfortably sit and eat/talk without feeling cramped. The bedrooms are spacious and well laid out. The linens were clean and the beds comfortable. The bedroom/bathroom ratio is perfect and worked great even with 15 of us in the house. The view is AMAZING! Watching the sun rise/set from the huge living room windows was beautiful. Each bedroom has it's own added bonus our family really enjoyed. The house has plenty of beach at high and low tide and there is no wading through a tidal pool like some of the surrounding properties. You will not find a home on Fripp with better beach access. The deck staircase leads directly to the sand. The house is at the end of a cul-de-sac and the neighborhood is very quiet. There is a "public" beach access area next to the house but we were literally the only people on the beach all weekend except for one family with small children and an elderly couple. It was great to be able to let the kids run free on the beach. It's definitely a very private/laid back atmosphere. I spoke with the owner when initially setting up the reservation. She was very nice and helpful and easily answered any questions that I had about the property. My family plans to vacation at Fripp Island again next year and we will definitely stay in this house again. It's become our home away from home!"

  • OTB - On The Beach!

"We had a fabulous stay at the Sandy Toes house on Tarpon. We are an extended family of 10, 2 sisters with husbands, 5 teenagers and the grandma matriarch. We were extremely fortunate that the weather cooperated every day week of April 4-10. We spent lots of time outside on the deck, on the beach, or doing local activities. Even during the morning or evening time, there was so much room in the house that we never got in each other's way. Lots of reading nooks or relaxing spots to curl up. The decor was fine. Some reviews might say a little dated but it is a rental and it was very comfortable for a week. The semi circular couch was great for everyone to hang out and the dinner table fit us all since we also like to have our together time. The kids played pool a few times. Everyone had their own private bathroom in the room which was also great for teenagers. The greatest part of the house is that is ON THE BEACH and a very nice part where you don't have to walk through lots of brush unlike houses in the middle part of Tarpon. Lots of deck chairs and beach chairs available. The kitchen is large and well equiped but bring your own good wine opener. All bedrooms but one on first floor which was good for our Mom. The steps to beach were not steep. There are steps to front of house so an older person would have to be able to go up and down. Great sunrise from the beach deck, and sunsets from the front second floor deck or the widows walk deck. We took a flashlight walk on the beach and saw some cool sealife in the tidal ponds. We also had an inboard motor boat that we towed down there and took out in the marina and inlets and saw dolphins several times up close. We ate at Johnson Creek and Bonito Boathouse but mostly cooked in. Minor issues -The bikes need replacing and the wifi is DSL, not cable, but it worked most of the time even with the heavy use of teenagers. If you are going to be on the beach you shouldn't be worried about wifi anyway. Any questions that we had were quickly addressed by Matt, the representative from the local management company. The golf cart worked but could use a tune up. The cost is higher than a house that is not on the beach but since we split it up among the families it was pretty reasonable and we never had to think about driving to the beach or coordinating cars. We have rented tiny houses on the beach elsewhere and a large house is so much better when you have a lot of people who might be on top of each"

  • Great get away

"Oh my goodness what a house !!! Everything here you would ever need . Kitchen so well stocked with cookware . Golf carts the way to travel on this island . Take the time to venture out and see all the homes and drive around the beaches. Also make sure you take a cocktail and watch the beautiful sunset and hope its high tide to see the dolphins playing in the water. Thanks so much for your beautiful home !!!!!"

  • Happy family loved this beautiful home!

"My family and I had a wonderful week at this amazing house. We had 9 adults and 2 children, and we had plenty of beds, with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Everything was nice and new, stunning actually. We had a large common area, plenty of dining space, and a lovely screened-in porch. Although it sounded nice on VRBO, it was even better when we got there! No disappointments. Only hitch was that the Direct TV wasn’t working for a few days – turned out that the problem was an only some branches in front of the satellite dish, and this was easily remedied. The kitchen was spacious and beautiful, and had everything we needed. We took turns cooking dinners, going out for dinner only once during our week. We went in to Beaufort, a cute town, and ate at the Old Bull Tavern, which had great food and service. The house has nice landscaping and backs up to a waterway. The many deer that just ambled through the yard and down the streets at all times were entertaining to watch. A couple of bucks decided to have a tussle in the front yard one evening just as we were trying to photograph them. Were they putting on a show for us?! The beach is across the street, less than a 5 min walk. It was pleasantly peaceful, no crowds in mid-September, and the weather was very nice. We went to the pool a few times as well for true swimming. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. We would certainly want to come back to this house again!"
