  • Wow! Tropical Paradise in South Carolina

"Wow! This is the only word to describe my family's stay at this beautifully decorated little slice of Heaven. The house offered a gorgeous ocean view off of the family room and each bedroom has it's own deck with views. There's a pier conveniently located across the street that is ideal for dolphin watching, fishing or just catching some rays! Fripp Island area is the perfect place for seeing wildlife (the gators and deer were fascinating) and the beach was the most private beach I've ever been to! Our family visited St. Helena Island and Beaufort. The shops were upscale but not overpriced and the locals were friendly and quick with an island story. Also for movie buffs like me, the area seems like a favorite of film studios to film various popular movies on location. Overall, my family and I had a relaxing and yet entertaining vacation. We can't wait to do it again! Thanks Donna!"

  • Awesome place and close to the beach

"My family and I had a great Summer vacation in this 5 bedroom house. It was very close to the beach. The rooms were good size and the beds very comfortable. It looked to me as there was new hardwood floors and new paint. The golf cart that came with the house was a bonus. We took many trips around the island and didn't use the car once. The amenity cards gave us acess to everything. This was my first rental where I did not have to call the owner with any problems."

  • Better than expected!

"This property was great! There were four bedrooms with two baths and a large main living area that was open to the kitchen. We were both close to the beach and the marina and the playground...AWESOME location. All day fishing off the dock was great and riding around in the golf car was a lot of fun! Best kept secret in Fripp! I would myself stay again and I would recommend it to anyone! Beach towels would have been good...they said they were stolen. Beach chairs would have also been nice to have. Air Conditioning worked great! :) Grill was fantastic! Porch was so nice to sit on!"

  • Low Country Paradise!

"My wife and I stayed at the Misty Breeze for a month this past Winter. This home is perfectly situated and equipped as far as I am concerned. From the decks we watched the sun rise in the morning and watched it set at night. As the tide ebbed and flowed throughout the day the adjacent canal and salt marsh were filled with wildlife. We saw river otters, dolphins, wading birds, diving birds and even two wood storks! The home has two large decks facing the marsh and the wave-filled inlet, each deck has unobstructed views. Misty Breeze is very well equipped, there are pots and pans, dishes and utinsels for preparing any size meal as well as virtually any small electrical kitchen appliance you might think of. We visited in Winter and found there were numerous additional blankets and quilts, a propane fireplace, and a very efficient heat pump. This house is beautifully decorated, actually it has about every coastal themed decoration you could think of. The feel of the house is of a home, not a rental. Access to the main level is by stairs as the house is elevated, access to two bedrooms is also by stairs. We have rented well over thirty properties through VRBO over the years, my wife and I agree that this one is the best of all."

Private Homes, Mid-Island Travel Tips

Spacious Fripp Island Beach Rentals

When you choose to stay in Fripp Island beach rentals instead of a hotel room, your family can enjoy their space and privacy. While family vacations are always about togetherness, this can also be a source of stress and conflict if no one is allowed to have any alone time. In Fripp Island vacation homes, each person can choose to spend a little time alone in their own room or out on the private deck when they need a little space and breathing room.

Experience Camp Fripp

If the younger members in your group become bored easily, take advantage of Camp Fripp. With a wide variety of activities close to Fripp Island beach rentals, the time will fly by. While Camp Fripp specializes in programs related to the local ecology, it's not all simply educational. They also have a Kid's Night Out program and teen mixers. Whether you choose to take part in one of the regular events or ask Camp Fripp to design an activity especially for your group, everyone will have a great time at the camp. After it's all over, everyone can relax in Fripp Island vacation homes while they rest up for the next day.

See Everything with Island Excursions

Close by Fripp Island vacation rentals, you'll find Island Excursions. From dolphin watches to dinner cruises, this company can take care of your island adventures. Each cruise takes about two hours and only includes a few people for the most personal experience. If you'd prefer to get in on the action, let Island Excursions arrange a deep-sea charter fishing trip with one of the island's captains. While Sea Wolf Charters is always a favorite, many other certified captains are available when their boat is all booked up. Don't miss your chance to catch a trophy fish off the coast of Fripp Island!
