"We just got back from an amazing week at Rick and Peggy's house on the golf course. The house itself is beautiful, updated and comfortable. When we went outside on the deck we were taken back by the incredible views. Every morning we would wake up and have a cup of coffee on the deck and watch all the wild life. Our daughters loved the huge alligator that would sun himself every afternoon. This is our 4th year vacationing in Fripp and Peggy and Rick's home is one of our favorites. The kitchen is fully stocked and the beds are very comfortable. Thanks to Rick and Peggy who are extremely easy to work with and who made our vacation more enjoyable."

"I have rented this house for my family 3 years in a row and will definitely be back. The house is clean, well maintained and well appointed. We have had between 7 to 12 people staying at a given time and there is ample space for everyone. It is pet friendly and has a great screened in porch for both people and pets to enjoy. This is a terrific home for a family or multiple families to enjoy a relaxing, casual vacation.
We generally buy groceries and cook most meals at the house but there are a few dining options and bars on the island which are fun, including Bonita Boathouse. There is also the option to take a quick 20-30 minute trip into Beaufort to explore the town and restaurants. We have cooked many meals both using the kitchen amenities and the grill and have had ample tools and utensils to do so.
I love this house's location because of the quiet, less populated beach. While the house is not directly on the beach and you do need to take short walk on the path through the dunes to get to the beach, you can still see the ocean from the porch and walk to the beach within a few minutes. There are plenty of deer and other wildlife to see both at the house and throughout the island. We love to rent bikes at the Marina for the week that we stay to explore the island and nearby Hunting Island State Park. It is also great to explore both the island and the park by running and you can easily find routes for both long and short distance runs. There are two golf courses where my brother in law loves to play when we visit.
The golf cart and amenity cards are a bonus and they also have many beach toys, chairs and puzzles available at the house. The only thing I would recommend is bringing your own beach towels. They have ample towels but they are smaller shower type towels. One other positive is that when we experienced two small maintenance issues (needing a light bulb, internet being down), once reported they were remedied immediately by the maintenance group. The owner is responsive, great to work with and willing to answer questions to help you prepare for your trip.
As I said we will definitely be back and I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a laid back getaway on a beautiful, lush island."
