  • Great get-away!

"I have rented this house for my family 3 years in a row and will definitely be back. The house is clean, well maintained and well appointed. We have had between 7 to 12 people staying at a given time and there is ample space for everyone. It is pet friendly and has a great screened in porch for both people and pets to enjoy. This is a terrific home for a family or multiple families to enjoy a relaxing, casual vacation. We generally buy groceries and cook most meals at the house but there are a few dining options and bars on the island which are fun, including Bonita Boathouse. There is also the option to take a quick 20-30 minute trip into Beaufort to explore the town and restaurants. We have cooked many meals both using the kitchen amenities and the grill and have had ample tools and utensils to do so. I love this house's location because of the quiet, less populated beach. While the house is not directly on the beach and you do need to take short walk on the path through the dunes to get to the beach, you can still see the ocean from the porch and walk to the beach within a few minutes. There are plenty of deer and other wildlife to see both at the house and throughout the island. We love to rent bikes at the Marina for the week that we stay to explore the island and nearby Hunting Island State Park. It is also great to explore both the island and the park by running and you can easily find routes for both long and short distance runs. There are two golf courses where my brother in law loves to play when we visit. The golf cart and amenity cards are a bonus and they also have many beach toys, chairs and puzzles available at the house. The only thing I would recommend is bringing your own beach towels. They have ample towels but they are smaller shower type towels. One other positive is that when we experienced two small maintenance issues (needing a light bulb, internet being down), once reported they were remedied immediately by the maintenance group. The owner is responsive, great to work with and willing to answer questions to help you prepare for your trip. As I said we will definitely be back and I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a laid back getaway on a beautiful, lush island."

  • Great home for a beach vacation with family

"Our vacation was as close to perfect as it could be. This house has everything you could want for a family vacation with kids. Close to beach access, large and airy living room, sunroom and deck, open concept kitchen, updated kitchen appliances, separate washer and dryer - list could go on. Having all rooms at the same level was a big plus because we have three young children. Owners were very helpful in coordinating delivery and Mail of packages and arranging crib rentals. Strongly recommended for families with young chilldren."

  • Wonderful Fripp Island Experience

"My family (15 total from grandparents to 2 year old) stayed in this house in April and we loved it! The reservation process was easy, the house was clean and well maintained when we arrived, and it was nice to rent a beach house with linens included instead of the usual rental hassle of other locations. The views and beach access were the highlights! It doesn't get any easier than walking down a short flight of stairs to arrive at a wide, quiet beach. The outdoor shower/wash station was an added bonus. We did have to keep an eye on the tides; high tide brought crashing waves to our access point (and the public access point beside the house) that was high enough our littlest family members wouldn't be able to walk through it - but it really only affected short periods of time when the tide was at it's highest. This house has a much easier beach access point than many of the others around it that include long boardwalks and/or wading through tidal pools. We will definitely return!"

  • Casual, Comfortable Family Getaway

"Nestled on beautiful Fripp Island, this property is the ideal getaway for two or a larger group seeking a clean, comfortable home. The reverse plan means the open concept kitchen, dining area and living room offer a fabulous view of the Salt Marsh. It also means the master bedroom with ensuite is separate from the other three bedrooms on the first floor; a perfect set up for entertaining overnight guests or lively teenagers. With access to Fripp Island's two Link Golf Courses,Tennis Courts and access to boat and kayaking privileges, this destination home is perfect for the sport's enthusiast or fisher. For nature lovers or birders, Fripp is a wildlife and bird sanctuary. Why not cruise to the sandy beach in your cart or watch one of the amazing sunsets from The Point. This home and Fripp Island is our number one getaway destination!"
