"We enjoyed every moment at the big yellow house. We had 4 generations of family stay under one roof and had a blast. The house had plenty of room to connect as a family,or to escape to a peaceful porch area to read and relax. The large dining room table was great for eating together or playing multiple games at once. The view of the beach and water where great- we enjoyed sunrise and sunsets from the deck or from the beach, just a few steps away. The kitchen was great, with plenty of room and the new appliances were very nice.
A big fridge, and five burner stove were great!
The house is located very close to the beach. You have to stay up on the hi tide/low tide chart, because high tide covers the entire beach! When high tide hit,we went to the pool. The pool was a very comfortable and well laid out. I would recommend driving to the pool
We rented bikes, kayaked, went for long walks on the beach, found neat things like, horsehoe crabs, puffer fish ,hermit crabs, and we're able to witness the release of 17 leatherback turtle hatchlings on the beach-don't miss this!
Beaufort is close and a neat little town to visit with a beautiful waterfront park and great places to eat
Visit Barefoot Bubbas for t-shirts and free ice cream ( no catch!)
We also found the staff and people in the area to be very friendly and relaxed
We would highly recommend Harbor Island and the big yellow house!"

"What a great house for a family vacation! This house has everything for a complete vacation. When you enter the view is what you notice first. Then you realize that the furniture and decor are perfect for a beach house. There is the most complete kitchen of any place we have rented. Used the gas grill multiple times for seafood from Gay Shrimp Co. The golf cart was a plus from going to the beach and touring the island. The community pool is just a house away. Not a better place to stay on Harbor Island."

"Our family highly recommends this condo for your next stay at Harbour Island. We stayed a few days while picking up our son from Marine Bootcamp at Parris Island. The condo had everything we needed, was decorated beautifully, and the owners are unbelievably wonderful to work with."

"My husband and I had the most relaxing vacation ever. The unit was very neat and clean. There are 3 pools on the property and the beach is just a short walk away :) There are so many neat activities within a few miles from the villa. We went to Hunting Island State Park and saw the lighthouse and the boneyard. Dolphins were everywhere! If you time your trip just right, you can even go see graduation at Parris Island. Its definitely worth it. The seafood was great. We went to Johnson Creek Tavern twice. If BBQ is your thing, Duke's in Beaufort is wonderful. There were several families staying in the villas. Most had been coming back for several years. We would absolutely recommend this property and will make it an annual trip although I will make a change in the arrival date to go earlier or later in the season as we are older and travel by ourselves. The property manager was so helpful - from the time of booking until we weren't ready to home yet and I called to ask to extend our stay 1 more night. Also, if we had any questions about the area (where to eat, things to do), the folks at the guard shack were extremely nice and helpful. Note: Even though this is a 1st floor unit, there are steps you must climb to get in and out."
