"We moved to the Southeast four years ago, and have been enjoying getting to know the vacation spots in the Carolinas and all of the great beach areas. This year we decided on Harbor Island, and it was the perfect spot for our family which includes three teenagers. The Yellow Beach House was in perfect shape will all new fixtures and amenities, and was super comfortable for all of us. We spent a couple of the days enjoying the beach at Harbor which is unique in that at lower tides you can go out several hundred yards, get in some good swimming, and enjoy the marine life. One day we went to the beach at Hunting Island State Park and Lighthouse, a hidden gem amongst State Parks. Other days we went to Fripp Island, and Hilton Head to meet up with friends and family there. Activities we did, one day we went shrimping with the Gay Seafood Company, beautiful sunrise, and being on the water, and for helping the captain we received about 10 lbs of shrimp for dinner that night. Also we went biking, crabbing, fishing, hiking, swimming, played golf, had dinner in Beaufort, and had dinner at Johnson Creek Tavern, awesome spot! Harbor is a great spot for kids because they can get out and explore, and you feel that they are really safe out on their own. Other than that, we did a ton of relaxing, grilling, and hanging out, Harbor is nice and quiet, so you can really unwind!
For our week, we really felt like we took in the whole area, and went to so many cool places. Whether we stayed on the Island, or went on an excursion, Harbor was a perfect central location for all of that. We can't wait to go back!"
