"My family has been enjoying Harbor Island for more than twenty years. Two years ago we first stayed at the Yellow Beach House and had a wonderful time. This year we were fortunate enough to stay there again and enjoyed another relaxing time at peaceful Harbor Island. The house is immaculate and well-appointed in every way. The layout is so comfortable for our family of five. The bed linens rival some that I've enjoyed in 5-star hotels. We cooked all our meals there during our stay and found everything we needed in their fully stocked kitchen. The views are wonderful. The golf cart provided a lot of fun for our family. Once again, the owners were great to work with. We can't say enough nice things about our two experiences at the Yellow Beach House on Harbor Island. Everyone in our home looks forward to going back as soon as our vacation schedule permits."Guest: Reese Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 17, 2014View listing
"Great house for large family. Everything was clean and well decorated. Loved seeing the owls off the back porch. Our only problem was we couldn't find the pack n' play that was listed on the web site. However, Harbor Rental was great and brought one over for us. We will definitely consider this cottage again! Thanks for a wonderful week!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 17, 2014View listing
"I was privileged to stay in this incredible vacation oasis. My wife and I loved this beautiful home, all of the amenities, and of course the location. We could not imagine a more perfect place to rest and relax. The house is perfectly located on the beach as well as the proximity to restaurants, shopping and golf. We look forward to our next vacation in South Carolina."Guest: Music Man Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 6, 2014View listing
"Although the photos of the house and views are great on this website, the home and location is even better than expected. The ocean view is much closer than we thought it would be but it would not have mattered had it been at a greater distance. The marsh is constantly changing and so entertaining. We were even treated to double rainbows over the marsh one evening as we sat on the deck. The house is wonderful and everything we needed was there, including some things we did not know we needed. The neighboring house on one side is close but screened well by great landscaping and the other side was even more private. The entire neighborhood is very quiet and life seems to move at a much slower pace. Everyone, without exception, in the community was very friendly. There is a golf cart and bikes are available at the house, but we like to walk. When we went out to walk our two fairly large dogs, we were greeted with welcoming smiles from everyone; something I had worried about before arriving. It seems to be a dog and family loving community. There are sensible rules in the community - dogs on leash and no excessive barking for example, which helps to make this community so special. We checked out each of several beach access areas and they are all very different. You can go from a quiet area where there are great sunsets and fishing, another where there is a wonderfully flat beach lined by beautiful houses, or you can go to an even more quiet area where the marshes are behind the very wide beach at low tide. We found it hard to leave the house and its wonderful view, but we enjoyed a trip to Hunting Island, found some great seafood (from Gay Seafood) to cook at the house, and met friendly people everywhere that we went. The guy at a local market, Marsh Tacky, asked if he could send out dog bones when he noticed our dogs in the car. There is nothing negative that we can think of and we hope to return soon. Thanks for sharing your home and providing such a wonderful experience where our dogs were also very welcome!"Guest: Linda B.
