  • Awesome Vacation

"This was nicely decorated with plenty of extras to make a comfortable stay away from home. . As one would imagine, it was clean and fresh.I'm already wishing we were back at the beach! This condo is a great option for families especially for the price. Condo was furnished with all the necessities. It is in a very quiet complex and had a pool directly behind the unit. Unfortunatley I had some work to do but with the owners handbook, I had easy access to the internet and completed my work beachside."

  • Wonderful house and location!

"I recently rented this house during my kids' Spring Break. Our party included 3 adults, 2 teenagers and a small dog. The house was very spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The ocean /beach motif is tasteful and so soothing for anyone who loves the sea! The staircase that lead directly down to the ocean was in a little disrepair, but I would have to imagine that it is extremely hard to keep it looking pristine given it's location.... this house literally sits a few feet from the ocean at high tide!!!! I give this rental an excellent rating due to the fact that it was very reasonable in price to rent and the ocean front location/view can't be beat. There's no granite counters, bath towels didn't all match, perhaps the outside could use a little tender loving care... but the "guts" of the house were sound, clean and in good condition. The beds were extremely comfy! We had everything we needed and loved our stay at this house. The wireless internet worked great so I could keep up on my business back in Michigan. Harbor Island was everything we hoped it would be. We aren't golfers and simply like being "right on the ocean" and enjoying nature and the ocean. You'll see alligators, egrets, herons, and countless sea creatures. The beach, as promised, was never crowded and beautiful! The house and beach are also "dog friendly", which was a plus for us. I found the beach to be impeccable... all dog owners seemed to be extremely responsible. Inside advice for renters: The house does not provide "beach" towels (or maybe we missed them.) This was not an issue for us as we drove to SC from MI and packed our own beach towels. With renters flying in, it may be a small issue. Also, there is a thermostat on the 1st floor that does not work. The working thermostat is on the 2nd floor just outside the Master bedroom. After discovering this, the air conditioning worked just fine. If you stay at Harbor Island, and love the ocean, I would advise taking a day trip to Hunting Island Beach. It's just a couple miles up the road from Harbor Island. There are also hiking trails and boardwalks over the ocean march. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on our first trip to Harbor Island. We plan on making this our regular Spring break destination, and will certainly look at this vacation home as one of our #1 picks."
