  • Nice!

"Great place to stay with a large family. Very private area. My family and I were in town for my husband's Grandmother's funeral. This home was lovely to spend time with our family from Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Beaufort SC. There were 6 kids with us ages: 3,4,5,9,14,and 14. They really enjoyed the upstairs playroom, and walking over to the fort. Although, I would not recommend the fort outing for little ones because of the height. The adults enjoyed the back screened in porch. The renters are great also :) I am already considering planning a "vacation" next summer. Thank you so much for letting us stay."

  • Exactly as described

"This was our second trip to Harbor Island and we opted for a larger unit this time. The unit is exactly as presented on this site. It was perfect for our needs. I did find myself driving to Lady's Island for additional supplies. We were adequately advised to bring additional items, but I did not read carefully enough into the suggestion. We purchased groceries at Publix on Lady's Island for the week and ate out only twice. For our week's stay and cooking in 3 times a day, I ended up purchasing more trash bags, laundry soap and dishwasher soap. The unit is supplied with 1 trash bag in the kitchen and 1 use for the dishwasher. The only downer was the master bath shower. I opted for the 2nd bedroom shower where there was a better shower head and more pressure. Perhaps it's the complex, but water pressure was an issue. Only 1 person can shower at a time and don't dare run the dishwasher, do laundry or flush the toilet at the same time! I can't even call it a complaint because once we figured it out, we worked around it and were fine! Being somewhat distant from civilization is exactly what we were looking for! Plenty of room on the beach and other people and families if you need interaction, or you can easily keep to yourself. We were able to see baby turtles this time, so my heart is happy. I'm trusting all the ones we saw conquered the circle of life and made it to their seaweed nursery in the ocean. <3 The views are great and the neighbors were respectful. I hope to return soon and I would definitely rent from the Peterson family again! Thank you for sharing your condo with us!"

  • A wonderful house.

"We have just returned home from our second stay in Craven House. The house is a beautiful Victorian house (one of the Painted Ladies of Beaufort) located on a quiet street in the historic point. It is comfortably and charmingly furnished, very clean and excellently equipped and feels like a home rather than a rental. One of our favourite activities was to sit on the veranda watching and listening to the horse drawn carriage tours passing by. Beaufort's beautiful waterfront park, shops and restaurants galore are all within an easy walk. The owners are very helpful and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. We loved staying there and look forward to returning next year."

  • Great house for the price

"We had 11 people staying at the house for the week and had plenty of room for everyone without being on top of each other. The views of the ocean are breathtaking, right on the 9th green on Ocean Point. Beach access just down the street but unaccessible during high tide. Ocean Point pool is just a few steps down the road, very quiet. Property manager is quick to respond to any issues that arise. Would recommend to friends and family for future stay."
