"My husband and 3 yo daughter stayed in this wonderful house for a week. This was our first visit to Harbor Island. This is the place to come if you want a laid back, relaxed and non crowded beach. We loved having the golf cart and the provided beach chairs and toys! The house was plenty roomy for the 3 of us. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the screened in back porch. The late evenings we spent on the upstairs deck. There are two sets of stairs in the house without gates if you have curious little ones. Thankfully my daughter never tried to go down by herself. We were a tad nervous with her sleeping upstairs but it never was an issue but for some it may be. A gate would be a nice addition for those that may need it. This beach is perfect for little ones as there are no big waves. We also visited the pool. There is a small kiddie pool as well. We especially loved having the pass to hunting island park. We went there most days and walked the trails. Def do the marsh Boardwalk trail and the nature trail from the nature center. My daughter loved the nature center where they had snakes, turtles, crabs and fish. We went to beaufort one morning and enjoyed the shops and lunch at panini's. Also had dinner one night at Dockside which was very good! We ate almost all our meals at the house. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would ever need! Make sure you stop at grocery store on your way in. Everything in the house is labeled from the shelves in the kitchen cabinets to the light switches. Lots of extra touches! My husband enjoyed the cd collection in the basement and the books in the reading loft. For older kids there are a bunch of board games in the game room. Also there is a fuse ball table but we couldn't find the ball. Owners are also quick to respond via email. We couldn't of asked for a better vacation! Thanks again!"

"We had originally booked the Duke Street Cottage for the walkability it offered in the downtown Beaufort area, but because the city began extensive work on Duke Street right in front of the Cottage, the owners contacted us well in advance with the offer of an alternate property without the mess and parking nightmare. We stayed at the alternate house further from downtown, but with easy access to everything, excellent off-street parking, and the house itself was just perfect for our two-night stay. Everything was pristine upon our arrival and the larger cottage had every possible amenity. We loved the bed so much that we're going to buy a similar mattress for our home. The extensive notebook of information -- including personal recommendations for dining and sightseeing, was an unexpected bonus! Whether we try for Duke Cottage again, or return to this location, we will definitely be back."

"We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a clean, peaceful stay in a lovely area. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean, parking was a breeze. You are only a short walk away from a wonderful seafood restaurant, or if you want a short stroll in the other direction you have pizza or barbecue. Sally made sure to check in on us and made us feel right at home. Wi-fi is available with decent download speeds. Our trip to the area was for a Parris Island graduation. In short this is a great place to stay."
