  • Beach vacationers

"What a beautiful spot! Immaculate and everything you need to feel at home. The best part of the place is the large ocean view porch. We watched shrimping boats and dolphins to our heart's content. Several things to keep in mind for this cabin is, it is very secluded. There is only one other cabin on this road which was not occupied when we were there. When the State Park closes, a gate is locked and you need to use your key to take your car in and out. Access to the beach is a little difficult. With the ongoing erosion, the walk way that leads to the beach no longer has steps and it is a good 3 feet drop to the beach that you have to navigate yourself. The picture on the website is no longer accurate. While you may like to bring Granny along, she won't be walking this beach, but she will enjoy it from the screened porch. At low tide you can walk forever, but at high tide there is no where to walk or play, it is all water. Definitely a lovely place to stay!"

  • Fripp Perfection!

"We have been doing a girls trip to Fripp for 25 years and have found this house to be perfect for a group. with all the living space everyone was comfortable. The screened in porch provides a quiet refuge for dining, reading, and around relaxing. We did the sports package so had 2 golf carts which we thoroughly enjoyed to see the island. I'd also add you won't find a better price on a house this size, steps from the beach, with all it's amenities. It's perfect for a family or a group of friends. The owners are a delight to work with. I recommend this house highly. Enjoy your next Fripp visit here on Silverside."

  • We'll be back...!

"The pictures of this home cannot begin to express the pleasure your group will have during your stay! Our group's ages ranged from 57 to 17, and there was never a complaint that there wasn't enough to do! The lay-out of the house is ideal to allow for privacy while loud card games and World Cup excitement take place in the great room! The relaxation derived from sitting on any of the 3 porches while sipping morning coffee, reading, or taking in the smells and sounds of nature, is priceless! There are plenty of activities for the health concious, or the 'not so much'. Our favorite dining experience was just around the corner from us, but the kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and pots and pans for cooking for our huge family of 12! Staying in this home afforded a truly memorable experience; not just in material things, but also in an immersion of the senses!"

  • USMC Boot Camp Graduation week long stay.

"We rented this home for an entire week. This house was perfect for our family! We went to Hunter Island beach and saw the light house, went to The Sands beach, took a carriage ride tour in downtown Beaufort, and went to Parris Island 4 different days. Chuck is totally awesome and his two small dogs were so sweet. My 9 yr old son quickly made friends with Choco and Bubba. It was great to have a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. The king size bed was so comfortable. We had plenty of room for everyone. We had 9 sleep there one night and after graduation that Friday we had a party with 19 people including family from PA, GA, and Calif. It was awesome. There was plenty of parking space. It was very hot but everything worked out great with horse shoes outside and the air conditioned sunroom inside. And room to pass baseball or football. Chuck even has a book on the kitchen table with all kind of helpful information about the area. The only thing I didn't know was that there was a drive in for movies really close by. The pool was so warm and fun. I really enjoyed sitting in the sunroom in the mornings having breakfast and watching the sun rise. It's beautiful looking out over the marsh. We also made a camp fire one night which was fun. There is a nice Wal-Mart only 2 minutes away. And plenty of stores and food places very close by. It was a very short drive to Parris Island. My youngest son lost his "My brother is a Marine" dog tag necklace and Chuck was kind enough to look for it and find it! He's mailing it back to us. My son's cousin is now in boot camp and I quickly recommended this rental to his parents. It was totally awesome that Chuck did not require a deposit before our stay. That was a big worry for me in case my son's graduation date changed. I booked this home based on the reviews and I hope you do the same. You will be very glad you listened to what others said. Chuck even gave our new Marine the Marine Flag to bring home. Thank you Chuck and Brenda for everything!!!!"
