Fabulous House and Great Location!
"Our family loved this house and its location. The beach walk is directly across the street and the walk to the beach is an easy 3 minutes or less. We LOVED all the porches, especially the screened porch off the kitchen with a view of the ocean. And, we watched the 4th of July fireworks from the top floor back porch. The layout is so accommodating for children and adults. We all look to cook and we really loved the island and prep surfaces that allowed a lot of cooks to be in the kitchen at once! The bedrooms were so nicely decorated and the beds were so comfortable-- good quality mattresses! The house is a happy house and we could tell that lots of wonderful family memories are made there. We have tons of special memories from our week there. I definitely recommend renting this house!"

"This home was top-notch in every way. Idyllic location, awesome pool, fantastic dock for fishing (and catching and preparing those fish for dinner!), and a gorgeous home that is perfectly appointed and so comfortable. The spacious and bright bedrooms (all with their own bathrooms) were a luxury and the kids loved their double bunk-bed room. The kitchen was large and lovely, the den was open and airy, and the porch was perfection, with its real-wood fireplace and sun-rise views over the creek and marsh. With the beach only a short drive through the community, and so many fun trails and paths to wander on foot or bike, this was really a fun place to explore and hang out with our kids -- but this home is so spectacular we could have stayed on the property and been happy all week. Thanks much to Karen, who was extremely friendly, responsive and accommodating."

"This 5-bedroom beachfront house in the DeBordieu Colony was truly first class. The house sleeps 12 comfortably, and is pet friendly. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, glasses, coffee mugs and utensils. There is a large refrigerator/freezer in the kitchen, with a second refrigerator/freezer in the laundry room. There is a large washer and dryer in the downstairs laundry room. Parking off street is abundant. There is a screened porch facing the ocean, with a private boardwalk to the beach. There is a shower on the boardwalk, in addition to an enclosed outdoor shower on the lower level. The house includes a guest membership to the DeBordieu club, which allows access to the golf, tennis and beach club facilities. The two canine members of our family thoroughly enjoyed the porch and the numerous walks and runs on the beach and in the surf."

"I brought my husband to the Royal Tern for a surprise 60th birthday trip and he was blown away! It was an outstanding off season value. It was clean and comfortable in a beautiful gated resort community. The golf cart made getting around a snap and the elevator makes life in a three story home easier. The home is comfortable and as described in the listing. It is a 5 minute golf cart ride to the beach. The club houses are upscale (with a dress code) and the account was set up for us before our arrival as was our security clearance at the gate. Quinn was prompt in his responses to our inquiries and questions and was very flexible. We enjoyed seeing the alligators sunning from afar and our first fox squirrel (which looked like a cross between a squirrel and a skunk!) It is a beautiful area that is well maintained. If you are expecting high end finishes and decorating, you might be disappointed and if you are driving in you might want to bring some basic consumables with you...having rented many other properties, we were used to having just a few more basics (such as a couple dishwasher detergent/laundry pods, a little coffee, garlic powder, hand soap, etc) left from the last guests, but not the case here. Come prepared. The linens were comfortable and plentiful. And the cable and WiFi were easy to use and worked great. You can't go wrong with this property and while it was only the two of us, I could see renting it for us with our kids and grandkids. It would be a great family place."
