Fabulous House and Great Location!
"Our family loved this house and its location. The beach walk is directly across the street and the walk to the beach is an easy 3 minutes or less. We LOVED all the porches, especially the screened porch off the kitchen with a view of the ocean. And, we watched the 4th of July fireworks from the top floor back porch. The layout is so accommodating for children and adults. We all look to cook and we really loved the island and prep surfaces that allowed a lot of cooks to be in the kitchen at once! The bedrooms were so nicely decorated and the beds were so comfortable-- good quality mattresses! The house is a happy house and we could tell that lots of wonderful family memories are made there. We have tons of special memories from our week there. I definitely recommend renting this house!"

"We discovered the wonderful Jackson Beach House "gem" several years ago; the first stay exceeded our expectations, and the following years' experiences have been equally satisfying! While we actually loved sitting by the former seawall, we have now returned from our late September visit where we were able to enjoy the recently renourished beachfront. Wow! We were able to take just a few steps from the deck, and "Voila!"...you're on the beach!! The location is perfect; the house is very close to the end of the beach that is an "uninhabited" wildlife preserve -- an amazing place for shelling and tranquil beach walks. The house itself is truly a home; it's very clean with an attractive and charming decor, but comfortable and inviting! Each bedroom has a bathroom; a huge plus! The large screened porch is a great respite from rain or bright sun that still offers incredible views and space for family and friends to gather! The Jacksons are very attentive, treating you like their personal guests as opposed to "renters." The setting always revives our spirits; we have traveled to many coastal communities, but the Jackson home and its lovely DeBordieu location is our favorite!! We feel privileged and blessed each time that we stay here, and look forward to many more visits! We also find the rates to be a great value for what you receive! We really don't have enough writing space to extol all of the virtues of our experiences here! Thank you, Lee and John!"

"I brought my husband to the Royal Tern for a surprise 60th birthday trip and he was blown away! It was an outstanding off season value. It was clean and comfortable in a beautiful gated resort community. The golf cart made getting around a snap and the elevator makes life in a three story home easier. The home is comfortable and as described in the listing. It is a 5 minute golf cart ride to the beach. The club houses are upscale (with a dress code) and the account was set up for us before our arrival as was our security clearance at the gate. Quinn was prompt in his responses to our inquiries and questions and was very flexible. We enjoyed seeing the alligators sunning from afar and our first fox squirrel (which looked like a cross between a squirrel and a skunk!) It is a beautiful area that is well maintained. If you are expecting high end finishes and decorating, you might be disappointed and if you are driving in you might want to bring some basic consumables with you...having rented many other properties, we were used to having just a few more basics (such as a couple dishwasher detergent/laundry pods, a little coffee, garlic powder, hand soap, etc) left from the last guests, but not the case here. Come prepared. The linens were comfortable and plentiful. And the cable and WiFi were easy to use and worked great. You can't go wrong with this property and while it was only the two of us, I could see renting it for us with our kids and grandkids. It would be a great family place."
