"We had a great time. Rented bikes from Cyclopedia in Litchfield. Kids enjoyed hot tub and snack bar at the pool (it was too cold to swim in the regular pool!). Carlos was great for tennis lessons. Golf was wonderful. Hannah Banana's down the road was a great destination for our bike rides. We also loved just biking around the plantation. Cottage was clean and had everything we wanted/needed. I think the property was nicer than expected based on the photos (both the cottage and the plantation). Everyone was super friendly. Katy was very helpful. I would highly recommend this to others. Only surprises were that the bathrooms were just fine, not high-end. Also we did not realize the cottage was up-down with neighbors on one side. Not a problem - just that we needed to keep the kids quieter when our neighbors arrived on the 2nd day. Would recommend Hannah Banana's as a nearby restaurant in biking distance and for other activities too - noticed a tour boat and other boating options, Piggly Wiggly for groceries or the Fresh Market (a little farther away down 17 but great gourmet market), Bliss for upscale dining, a pizza place next to the Divine Fish House (same owners but cannot remember the pizza place name), too many fun restaurants to mention on the inlet. Heard Divine Fish house and the Hot Fish House are good but did not have time to go there. Wachesaw Plantation was a wonderful spot. Thanks!"

"We throughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful townhome. Close to everything and yet private enough to relax and enjoy your family away from the limelight. Great amenities and beautifully decorated. The beds are very comfortable and the linens felt crisp and fresh. Special attention was paid to every detail to make you fill welcome. I would recommend this townhome and would certainly stay there again. The owners were very easy to work with and I thank them for sharing there special little piece of paradise with us."

Murrells Inlet Travel Tips

Make Time to Enjoy the Grand Strand with Murrells Inlet Vacation Houses

Over the years, northern Myrtle Beach in South Carolina has become a premiere vacation destination, appealing to not only college kids but also families, couples, and retirees. Murrells Inlet vacation houses are located right in the Grand Strand of Myrtle Beach, ensuring perfect beaches, great views of the ocean, and plenty of family fun. It’s called the Grand Strand because of its 60 miles of coastline. If you pair all of that with southern hospitality, staying in Myrtle Beach house rentals is the ideal way to have the best family vacation possible.

Myrtle Beach Resorts Were Once Populated by Pirates

Though the area surrounding your Myrtle Beach resorts seems modern, there is plenty of history and lore about. Centuries ago, pirates hid out and buried treasure along the inlet waterways, including the infamous Blackbeard. In fact, the legend of Drunken Jack was born because Blackbeard left him to guard the casks of rum but returned to find only bones and empty bottles. It is said that Drunken Jack still roams the island not far from Murrells Inlet rentals. When you arrive, keep your eyes open!

Murrells Inlet Rentals Show You What Seafood Capital Means

Bounties of seafood are caught each day off the shores of Murrells Inlet rentals, and if you feel brave, you may even catch some yourself! There are plenty of fishing expeditions and charter boats available if you would like to do some fishing during your stay in Murrells Inlet vacation houses. Other Things to Do near Murrells Inlet Vacation Homes

So fishing and boating are not your recreational activities of choice? That does not mean you will not enjoy time spent in Murrells Inlet rentals. Myrtle Beach resorts allow for plenty of exploration of the creeks and marshes in addition to the ocean. Spend the morning jet skiing, parasailing, kayaking, or just laying out on the sand. If you prefer to enjoy nature quietly, take a walk along the Marshwalk which is just minutes from most Murrell Inlet vacation houses. You will see plenty of egrets, herons, fish, and crabs.
